We hope to provide a small-town shopping experience in the city, complete with great customer service and the feeling of never wanting to leave. The Abode is a place where you can find one of a kind items, from unique gifts to furniture, and everything in between for your home and garden. We have an ecle

ctic and fun collection of gifts for every season made from local artisans and growers, since we believe
natural products mean happy people. We also carry a full inventory of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Supplies, with a wide range of in-store, custom-painted furniture pieces to showcase all of our beautiful chalk-painting colors and styles. In addition to carrying a large inventory of Annie Sloan Chalk Paints, our very own artist-in-residence, Jill, offers beginning and advanced chalk-painting classes at our location weekly. Our store is located in Downtown San Clemente in a historic 1920's Ole Hanson Adobe house which we rightfully named The Abode. Full of unusual vintage bohemian and beach-cottage style furnishings, all either handmade or made from recycled or repurposed natural elements, the unique look of our store has an inside to match. Stop by our store to walk through our one of a kind historic house, where each room is meant to inspire and awe. With beautiful, ever-changing decor in our lovely location, come by to shop, look for decorating ideas, or to just relax in our beautiful garden full of unusual plants, fountains, and an original orange tree from 1930. (Even take a plant home to boost our area's natural habitats and protect our pollinator friends!)

To the community of San Clemente, your support has been the foundation of our small business over the years. This week marks the start of a change in ownership of The Abode San Clemente as Linda, Eric & the Mickelson family move to Montana to further pursue our sister store in Butte!
