Restoration- Charlie's Song

(Verse 1)
Oh, We the People, with hearts true and bold,
Lament the divisions of stories untold.
A nation fractured, a trust worn so thin,
But the spirit of '76 calls us within.
(Chorus)
From sea to shining sea, let harmony ring,
To form a more perfect Union, our voices will sing.
No longer divided, no bitter lament,
For the soul of America, together we'll mend.
(Verse 2)
The disastrous liberals cast shadows so deep,
Where discord and anger made brother's heart weep.
But hope springs eternal, like dawn's golden ray,
To establish Justice, and light up our way.
(Chorus)
From sea to shining sea, let harmony ring,
To form a more perfect Union, our voices will sing.
No longer divided, no bitter lament,
For the soul of America, together we'll mend.
(Bridge)
For domestic Tranquility we yearn, every soul,
To rise from the ashes and make our land whole.
Provide for the common defence, with purpose and might,
And promote the general Welfare, with all of our light.
(Chorus)
From sea to shining sea, let harmony ring,
To form a more perfect Union, our voices will sing.
No longer divided, no bitter lament,
For the soul of America, together we'll mend.
(Outro)
With the Blessings of Liberty as our guide,
For ourselves and our Posterity, side by side.
Let's rebuild our nation, strong, proud, and free,
United as ever, like Charlie prayed it to be.

"The decision to remove the Academy’s historic crest from the Bibles in the Cadet Chapel is yet another example of the previous administration pushing far-left politics into our military institutions," Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll said.

Acrylic double dome skylights are generally allowed by the California Building Code (CBC) and the California Energy Code (Title 24), but they must meet specific requirements related to energy efficiency, fire safety, and installation.
Here's a breakdown of the key considerations:
1. Energy Efficiency (Title 24):
* U-factor and SHGC: This is a major focus for all fenestration (windows, doors, and skylights) in California. Skylights must meet specific maximum U-factor (rate of heat loss) and maximum Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) values. These values vary depending on the climate zone where the building is located.
* NFRC Certification: Manufacturers must test and certify their skylights through the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) or an equivalent approved agency. This ensures the U-factor and SHGC ratings are accurate and compliant.
* Double-dome benefit: Double-dome acrylic skylights generally offer better thermal performance than single-dome designs, which helps them meet the U-factor requirements.
* Exceptions: There are some exceptions for small skylights (e.g., up to 16 sq. ft. in existing buildings) that may have slightly more relaxed U-factor and SHGC requirements.
2. Fire Safety (California Building Code - CBC):
* Spacing: Plastic skylights (including acrylic) generally need to be separated from each other by at least 4 feet, unless they are in the same room/space and the total area is under 100 square feet, or the building has an automatic fire sprinkler system.
* Protection of Edges: The edges of light-transmitting plastic skylights or domes must be protected by metal or other approved noncombustible material, or the skylight must be demonstrated to resist ignition when exposed to flame (e.g., through specific ASTM or UL testing).
* Curbs: Skylights installed on roofs with a slope flatter than 3:12 (25%) generally must be mounted on a curb extending at least 4 inches above the plane of the roof.
3. Installation and General Requirements:
* Building Permit: A building permit is typically required for the installation or replacement of skylights.
* Mounting: Skylights are usually curb-mounted, designed to be installed on flat or sloped roofs.
* Ventilation: Operable skylights have specific distance requirements from plumbing vents or other environmental air vents.
* Structural: Any modifications to roof or ceiling framing for skylight installation will require structural considerations and inspections.
In summary:
Acrylic double dome skylights are allowed in California, but it's crucial that they:
* Comply with Title 24 energy efficiency standards for U-factor and SHGC, typically requiring NFRC certification.
* Meet CBC fire safety regulations regarding spacing, edge protection, and mounting.
* Are installed according to local building department requirements and receive the necessary permits and inspections.
Always consult with a local building official or a qualified contractor/architect in your specific California jurisdiction to ensure full compliance with the most current codes, as specific requirements can vary slightly or have local amendments.

CLIFF Jumpers jump to their deaths.

There have been recent deaths in Northern California involving individuals who jumped into water from cliffs or waterfalls.
Most recently, in June 2025, three hikers died after jumping into Rattlesnake Falls in the Soda Springs area of Northern California. They were identified as Matthew Anthony, Matthew Schoenecker, and Valentine Creus. Reports indicate that Schoenecker, a former diving champion, and Anthony jumped in to help Creus when he started panicking after his jump, but all three ultimately drowned. The strong currents, poor visibility, and challenging terrain hampered initial search efforts.
Another incident occurred in May 2025, where a UC Santa Cruz undergraduate student was presumed dead after jumping off a cliff at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz and struggling to return to shore.
There have also been past incidents of fatalities from cliff jumping in Northern California, including a man who died after jumping off Burney Falls in 2018 and another who drowned after a cliff jumping accident in Lake Tahoe in 2019.
