Home offices have become some of the hardest-working spaces in a home. They need to support productivity without feeling overly corporate, while still reflecting the personality of the home around them.

For this Encinitas project, every inch was intentionally designed. Custom cabinetry conceals generous file storage, integrated drawers keep essentials within reach, and a hidden pull-out printer station maintains a clean, uncluttered workspace. A custom striped bench provides comfortable seating for guests without sacrificing functionality.

Finished in soft blue cabinetry and layered with cottage-inspired details, the office feels calm, collected, and cohesive with the rest of the home. It's a space designed to make work feel a little more inspiring, while proving that practical spaces can be just as beautiful as the rooms where we gather.

People often see the finished photos, but there's so much more to the story behind every project.

I started Luxe Studio Design because I believe great design should make life easier, not more complicated. My goal has always been to create homes that feel deeply personal while making the process feel organized, thoughtful, and enjoyable.

For clients who love to entertain, the way a space flows matters just as much as how it looks.

In this indoor-outdoor living room, custom La Cantina doors open the home to the courtyard, creating one connected space that can comfortably host large gatherings. Inside, custom furnishings, motorized window treatments, layered textiles, collected artwork, and thoughtful architectural details bring warmth, function, and personality to the room.

The clients’ eclectic style guided the design, allowing us to blend transitional elements with bold color, pattern, and pieces they had collected over time.

Every square inch matters, especially in a laundry room.

For this project, we transformed a compact space into one that's both beautiful and incredibly functional. A custom pull-out between the washer and dryer keeps detergents and stain treatments within easy reach, while a full-height storage cabinet maximizes every inch for household essentials.

Rather than treating the laundry room as an afterthought, we carried the home's design language throughout with soft blue cabinetry, a tone-on-tone backsplash, traditional details, and a playful checkerboard floor that brings a little joy to an everyday routine.

Pinspiration: What's Inspiring Us Now 🤍

Lately, we've been drawn to interiors where natural stone takes center stage.

From dramatic veining and richly colored marble to sculptural fixtures and statement lighting, we're seeing more spaces that embrace bold, expressive materials as works of art. Paired with soft washes of mauve, blush, and muted earth tones, these striking stones feel both timeless and unexpected.

What we love most about this trend is the balance. The color palette remains calm and sophisticated while the stone brings movement, personality, and a true sense of luxury.

As designers, we're always looking for ways to create homes that feel unique to each client. Sometimes that means stepping beyond the expected, embracing beautiful natural materials, and designing spaces that feel collected, personal, and impossible to replicate.

Talega Primary Bathroom: Designed for Beauty and Function 📐

Behind every beautiful bathroom is a hundred thoughtful design decisions.

For this Talega primary bathroom, our goal wasn't simply to create a luxurious, spa-inspired retreat. Every detail had to work together to deliver exceptional function while maintaining a clean, timeless aesthetic.

A custom steam shower became the focal point of the space, requiring carefully selected steam-friendly materials, specialized ceiling detailing, a glass transom for ventilation, and thoughtfully integrated plumbing. A custom pony wall separates the shower and built-in tub while discreetly housing plumbing and creating a seamless architectural feature. Oversized niches, coordinated brass hardware, hand-painted Moroccan tile, and durable quartz surfaces complete the design, balancing everyday performance with elevated style.

The most successful renovations aren't defined by what you see. They're defined by the countless design decisions working quietly behind the scenes to create a space that's both beautiful and effortless to live in.

Newport Coast Primary Bathroom Details 🤍

It's often the finishing touches that make a space feel truly complete.

For this Newport Coast primary bathroom, every accessory was selected with both beauty and purpose in mind. The sculptural stool beside the freestanding tub introduces warmth and contrast while providing a convenient place to set a towel or bath essentials. A woven bath caddy transforms an everyday soak into a spa-like ritual, while handcrafted accessories, like the organic soap dish and decorative bowl, add personality and function without creating clutter.

Our favorite part? Bathrooms are one of the easiest places to have fun with styling. Choose pieces you genuinely love, mix natural textures with timeless materials, and don't be afraid to think beyond traditional bathroom accessories. The smallest details often have the biggest impact.
