I’ve been having a lot of fun learning how to make these Amigurumi. I’ve done quite a bit of knitting in my past, but this is my first go with Crochet.

I’ll admit I never really cared for the look or feel of crochet. I think that’s because I was always looking at projects made with worsted weight yarn though. This bulky and super bulky “blanket” yarn makes super soft, cute little toys.

Amigurumi project 3 complete. I learned 2 new techniques for this one. Changing colors in the round and also the “jogless join” to keep the rings of color on the neck nice and even all the way around.

Project was completed using Bernat: Blanket yarn for the body and wings and Yarn Bee: Cozy Occasion for the beak, feet, and hat.

Crochet project #2 complete. I upped the difficulty quite a bit on this one. Had to learn a couple new stitches, plus the fuzzy yarn making stitch definition “fuzzy” posed a moderate challenge. This little dude was worth the struggle though.

Triceratops was crocheted using Baby Bee “Adore-A-Ball” Viva Violeta yarn with a 5.5mm hook.

My partner was really taken with all crocheted stuff she saw at this year. So when we got home I started watching tutorials on and today I presented her with my first completed project.

Kuchi Kopi was crocheted using Yarn Bee “Scrub-ology scrub it!” in Lime. And was stuffed with cut up pieces of QEP heavy duty sponge to keep with the body scrubber theme.
