There are so many ways we express ourselves and experience life. Our stories are a blend of past and present. It is in the blending of these parts of our lives that we tell our personal story. Many of us live with physical touchstones that bring the experiences of the past to today. Vintage items of all kinds are visual touchstones that when added to contemporary spaces add the depth and interest of narratives of our past. Vintage items bring stories of design, materials, artisanship, periods, places, rituals, people and more. My efforts in bringing vintage and antique art, lighting and objects to people thru my design and restoration studio and shop have given me a unique opportunity to explore so many of these stories. And so the journey continues…what is your favorite aspect of vintage?
