Big news from Salt + Willow 💫
This year has brought so much joy and change — and I’m thrilled to share that I’m expecting my second baby in March 2026🎀! Soon I’ll have two little ones under two (wish me luck 😅), and after much thought and many tears, I’ve made the decision to take a step away from design work for a while to focus on raising my babies.
This was not an easy choice — design has been such a huge part of my heart and identity. But I know deep down this is the right season for me and my family. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to press pause and be fully present for these early years, and I don’t take that for granted for a single moment.
To my clients, collaborators, and friends who’ve supported Salt + Willow over the years — thank you. You’ve allowed me to bring so many beautiful visions to life, and I’m endlessly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me.
My hope is that when the time feels right, Salt + Willow will be here waiting — ready for a new chapter, with a fresh perspective shaped by motherhood.
Here’s to growth, change, and the beauty of building both homes and families. 🤍

We decided to shake things up for this shoot and had a blast experimenting with different cameras to really capture the essence of this space. I’ve always had a love for film photography, so when the photographer proposed using the camera for this shoot, I couldn’t have been more excited! The result: a moody, textured vibe that perfectly reflects the feeling we wanted to evoke.
When the client said yes to the purple Heath Ceramics tile, I knew we were in for something special. It was a bold, unexpected choice—one that many shy away from—but those are often the decisions that lead to truly one-of-a-kind spaces.
Add a custom niche, beautiful marble countertops, Douglas fir vertical grain cabinetry with dovetail joints, and you’ve got a kitchen that’s anything but ordinary.

Since I’ve taken a break from client work, I’ve been channeling my creative energy into home projects lately—and it’s been so refreshing. I’ve especially loved reintroducing color into our space. We swapped out the neutral rug, updated the sofa, and my husband even built a more kid-friendly coffee table (bye-bye sharp corners!) What do you think?

Hi there IG fam,
It’s been a while since I’ve been active on here. I’ve been taking some time off to create a human and start a family 😜 I really thought I’d be going back to work within a few months of having my son but after his arrival the guilt hit hard and I had overwhelming FOMO on all the little things I’d miss out on while working. Many of my mom friends have given the advice of, “You’ll never get this time back and work will be there when you’re ready again,” so that’s what I’m holding onto and going with. I feel very fortunate to have this time with my little guy and to be present in all his developments.
So, all this to say, if you’ve reached out in the last few months about a new project you’d like to work on together and I’ve had to turn you down, know that I truly appreciate your understanding and patience. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and collaborating with you when the time is right. Thanks for sticking with me during this precious and transformative chapter of my life. 🩷

Last week I said goodbye to my best friend and first love, Java. If you knew me, you knew how deep our love was for each other and how inseparable we were. She often sat shotgun and waited for me while I participated in client meetings or sourced materials for a project. If she wasn’t with me you could surely find her with my husband hanging out at his wood shop.

I never imagined how much joy and enrichment that little girl would bring into my life. She was there for all my big life moments: moving across the country, interior design school, getting engaged, starting my own business, being in my wedding, and meeting Lennon. We traveled the country together, embarking on countless adventures and discovering new places.
Many people often told me she changed their views on pit bulls, and that always warmed my heart. She had a special way of making everyone feel cherished, with her joyful howls and rapidly wagging tail whenever you walked through the door. While I feel like a part of me is missing and a piece of my soul has been taken, I am so grateful for the 15 magical years we shared. Rest in peace, my sweet baby girl. I’ll see you again soon.
