We anchored the space with a custom game rug, wrapped the walls in a warm peachy hue, and added California Closets built-ins for sleek, functional storage. A convertible daybed adds flexibility for lounging or hosting overnight guests—perfect for a beachy lifestyle.

This sweet little North Pacific Beach bungalow is all brightened up and ready for lazy mornings on the sofa, the sound of classic records spinning and the chatter of catching up with friends in the comfiest vintage chairs. Local art and photos gather in the corner for a mini-gallery moment and the sun shines through the open windows all day. A custom made barn door slides away to reveal the adjoining multi-purpose room, making the entry into this cozy house feel a lot more spacious.

I’ve had a few projects lately where the need is turning a home office into a guest room, specifically for a grandmother to come stay and help with childcare. In these spaces I don’t want the guest room function to feel secondary and at odds with the daily office use. If someone is coming to chase after toddlers all day they need a cozy and comfortable retreat that feels like home! This space houses two desks as well as a comfortable sleeper sofa, we made sure to have functional lighting that didn’t take up surface space and plenty of storage so personal belongings won’t clutter up the minimal circulation areas. Blackout shades block early morning sun from the East. The decor is earthy and subtle, creating a lovely retreat to rest and recharge.

The Love Witch but make it Rock and Roll 🤘 I forced a few good friends to watch The Love Witch at my birthday party last summer. At least two of them were absolutely traumatized but one was captivated and inspired. He got it. When he hired me to design his loft we knew exactly what we were going for…spooky, gothic, femme fatale, rock and roll and black cats.
