I admit, I rarely post here but this little project has been a long time coming. It's still not finished but we're finally getting visible progress. This is a walk out basement up in the mountains of Descanso CA. It was barely an inhabitable space before, with 2 unusable closets next to each other and a huge backwards door on the wall where the kitchenette now is. I busted out the wall dividing the 2 spaces and closed up the backwards door, now that area is a walk in utility room. There were only 2 outlets in the entire space and the thickest popcorn ceiling you've ever seen. This is our personal property and we bought it as is. 😆 Life is busy with new a grand baby and lots of other things, so it's been a long time coming. Paint, floating shelves, cabinet hardware and floors are next. We're doing everything as frugally as possible with free and recycled materials whenever possible. The gorgeous bathroom quartzite countertop was donated as well as the cool mosaic marble backsplash in the kitchenette. I found faucets that mimic their much pricier name brand twins and am only using drop in sinks because, well it's a rugged property and I decided that it would be prudent to allow for simple change outs down the road if necessary. Bright colors in accessories will be added in the staging at the end, who knows when that'll be, but I'll be here for it. 😂 If youve read my mini-novella here, what do you think? 😊
Thanks to Dave and Connie Magnani and Mike Mulder, we're very appreciative. 🙏🥰
