Bye-bye Christmas, can’t wait to do it again! 🪅

We spent three weeks at Casa Begoña, our longest stay yet, and we’re already missing it. This home has become my favorite project so far, it’s a place where I get to experiment, play, and live in the details I’ve dreamed up every day alongside my family.

While hunting for vintage pots at a bazaar over Thanksgiving break, I stumbled on a perfectly sized antique door instead. A little retrofitting later, it became our new coffee table. The living room at Casa Begoña has mostly been an open play zone for the kids this past year, so finding the perfect piece to anchor the space felt long overdue. Full of character, durable enough for slime and Play-Doh, and officially reclaimed as the kids’ favorite place to play.

A pair of lovely brass leaf sconces also made an appearance, casting a warm glow on the stone wall and highlighting the carved stone table in the corner, making it feel as though it’s always been there.

As Casa Los Olivos reaches its final phase, we’ve embraced a slower, more intentional pace by installing pieces as the spaces are ready and letting the architecture of the home lead the way. Scored some beautiful vintage pots and charred bench for Casa Begoña and Casa Los Olivos ✨

The green pineapple landed by the fountain and I think it fits right in. It needs a couple more of different sizes to complement it, but it’s in good company so far with the rest of the pots along the courtyard. The bench landed in the mud room and the clay pots are coming back with me to Casa Los Olivos in San Diego (if they fit in my suitcase) 😬
