We have fine curated natural fiber yarns, a variety of supplies, classes for all levels, and we welcome anyone to come and hang out with us. all of our locals who visited, and the new faces who found us for the first time during San Diego Yarn Crawl !😎 We had an incredible showing this year, our best one yet!

everyone who showed out for our fellow San Diego fiber folks! Even with such a busy weekend, a few of us managed some time off to crawl to all our fellow participating yarn crawl locations, and we to hope to see you again next year 🤗

Can we go back to the San Diego Yarn Crawl?! 🌈🧶

I had the best time hosting Color Theory chats, meeting so many of you in person, and just generally talking yarn, and life, and dogs, and sweaters with everyone who stopped by!

Wearing my Pop Top Pullover in aquamarine + berry because if you’re going to stand in front of a rainbow wall, you might as well match it. 🩵💓

So grateful to Apricot Yarn & Supply for hosting me, and to the amazing Sara for having me there! We spent some time dreaming up something new coming to the shop soon (swipe to see what colors we were playing with 👀).

Already counting down to next year’s San Diego Yarn Crawl. Thank you to everyone who made it feel like one big knit night! 💜💙

Day 3 of San Diego Yarn Crawl complete! Today was fun and we saw a few large groups come through together, which is always exciting🤗 Thank you to all our Saturday crawlers🐛

Come by our shop tomorrow for the final day of the San Diego Yarn Crawl to see Heather from with her kit trunk show! She will be giving color theory talks at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm🌈

Yarn Crawl Day 1 complete! Thank you Leslie for joining in on the chaos of Day 1!!

Today, we held a big Leslie Valantine trunk show downstairs with Leslie, owner and lead dyer of Leslie Valantine. If you missed her, don’t worry! The Leslie Valantine trunk show will continue through the weekend🐑⚡️

Tomorrow, meet Karen of Magicland Yarn!

⭐️We have so many beautiful new yarns and trunk shows to share with everyone this weekend, so the shop setup will rotate a little each day of the crawl, with some yarn upstairs in our classroom space and some downstairs in the main shop storefront!⭐️

Live on Ravelry! To celebrate San Diego Yarn Crawl, we’d like to share a little behind the scenes look at Sara’s latest designs, the Seabream (knit) and Tritonia (crochet) shawl patterns! These patterns will be free with the special codes you’ll get when you visit us during the crawl!🎟️🎟️🎟️

The Seabream is a striped knit triangle shawl with an eyelet backbone. Made using Kelbourne Woolens Skipper, and named for the fish with a stripey pattern🐠

The Tritonia is a crochet triangle shawl with a scalloped edge all the way around. Made using Baah Yarn Hand Dyed Yarn Footloose, and named for the genus of sea slugs who tend to have the same wobbly edges🐌

Visit the shop this weekend to see & try on our sample pieces, and to find inspiration in a wide range of colors in big restocks from Baah Yarn Hand Dyed Yarn Footloose and Kelbourne Woolens Skipper, the yarns recommended in these patterns😎

This Sunday! Meet Heather of Ewe Ewe Yarns | Merino Wool + Knitting Patterns, stay for her Color Theory Talks, and watch a live spinning demo from San Diego County Spinners for Day 4 of the San Diego Yarn Crawl! 🧶🧵🐑

Heather will be here at Apricot Yarn & Supply from 10am - 6pm to say hello and share her expertise on choosing color for your handmade pieces in her Color Theory Talks! Happening at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, each talk will be about 15 minutes, and we will be holding a mini raffle after each one!

The San Diego County Spinners will be demonstrating their spinning skills from 10am - 12pm! Come see how yarn can be made from wool roving and other unspun fiber!

Plus, we’ll be hosting a Ewe Ewe Yarns kit trunk show all weekend🧶🧶 Come say hi to Heather and the San Diego County Spinners, and celebrate San Diego Yarn Crawl with us this Sunday, September 27!
