That staging your home makes it easier for buyers to visualize the property as THEIR future home? Many home-owners feel like this is a waste of investment as they already have furniture in their home.

Here’s the good news - if you have furniture that is in great condition and neutral in color and texture - then you may be able to utilize existing furniture and design elements you already own. If, on the other hand - you’ve got a turquoise leather coach, you may want to consider renting some key furniture pieces that appeal to the largest number of potential buyers.

Simplicity at it’s finest ✨

Here are 4 easy ways to achieve simplicity in your designs:

1. Design Clarity: Know who and what you are designing for.

2. Select furniture pieces that have clean lines and those that can serve multiple purpose.

3. Include a soft organic green plant to break the textures and provides a live element.

4. Clear all the unnecessary items that don’t apparently serve a purpose. I other words, clear out the clutter.

Psst…Want to know a secret? 🤔

There is an unspoken expectation between home-owners and landscape contractors and here it is…

Most clients are secretly hoping a contractor will tell them how to plan out their yard, what materials to use, what colors and textures will look good etc. etc. Basically they want their contractor to give them fabulous design ideas and solutions.

Most contractors are hoping that the home-owner already knows what they want so they can break-ground, install/build and move along to their next project.

So let me be super clear to all you home-owners out there. Most contractors are NOT designers. They are builders/installers.

Lucky for you - we’re both :)

Since I’ve had SO many calls where I saw clients simply needing some direction (and frankly, many of you don’t need to hire a contractor. You can have your gardener do some of this stuff and save yourself a ton of $$$) - I decided to help those that are simply in need of some direction.

I now offer 60 minute video calls to anyone looking for help on next steps.

I help answer questions like:

- What do I do next?
- How do I layout/design my yard?
- Do I need a contractor to get this done?
- What’s a reasonable amount to spend?
- Do I need concrete or pavers and what’s the difference?
- What type of pavers should I use? Can I buy them myself?

🍃 Why I do what I do 🍃

I spent years as a Marketing Manager and eventually Director. Was employed by some of the most prestigious high-tech ballers in the world, but every-time I put a check-mark by the company I wanted to work for, I would soon feel a yearning for more. Don't get me wrong...I got to work amongst some unimaginable IQs, and while I attained a tremendous amount of knowledge, I always felt a lack of impact and creativity - two of my highest drivers!

Today - although I'm not a doctor who saves lives (hats off to those who are/do), I still feel so blessed that I get to do what I do. I'm so grateful that my clients trust me with their most intimate spaces (their homes!!) and that I get the chance to transform their spaces into little mini-resorts for them to enjoy with family and friends.

So thank you to all of you who let me in, and trust me in your homes and allow me to finally use my most passionate gifts and drivers to transform your outdoor space in a way that impacts life on such an intimate level.
