Flowers are always a good idea, especially in this color palette 🎨

Annoyed that after all these years I still manage to only take one photo of this arrangement. Rookie mistake.

Been in the thick of wedding planning the past couple of months. It has truly been a full time job 😅

Took the season off to focus on our wedding so I miss being in the studio and hanging with the flowers. Can’t wait to get back into it with our wedding next month 🤭🥰

For now I’ll just look at past work and stalk other florists to look at all the pretty flowers lol.

Since March ‘22

Four years of endless beauties. Distant Drum and Koko Loko — you’ll always have my heart.

Distant Drum is a true sunset in flower form. It’s stunning in every stay from its bud to bloom cycle. The colors change similarly to a sunset sky with beautiful hues of pink-lavender to bronze-peach and settles to a soft/pale pink towards the end of its bloom stage. She’s vibrant, unique and dreamy.

Koko Lokos on the other hand is just unmatched. You’ll get an array of colors starting from a light mocha brown to mauve pink and then matures to a soft lavender. At her peak bloom, she’s absolutely perfect — elegant and sophisticated, but also soft and whimsy.

Both of these varieties are a must in your garden. Not only are they so easy to grow, they bloom magnificently. Perfect in the garden or as cut roses for your home.

They bring so much joy just by existing. The flower lover me does happy dances whenever I see them blooming in the garden. Four years growing them and I’m still obsessed.

And to think this is just 100 roses and in 30fps 🫠😅

A big part of floral work that a lot of people don’t see happening is processing flowers. Processing flowers is a process that can take a whole day or a whole team.

Two main points to note:

1. The larger your wedding flower needs are, the more intense and tedious the processing flowers become. This is a large reason why flowering for a wedding costs more. The amount of flowers we work with for weddings on average exceeds a lot of events like anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers and even bridal showers.

2. Not every flower variety is the same. Some flowers are processed straightforward like your standard roses. Some flowers require extra care like specific water/air temp or some need their stems be smashed for more water intake. And all of this comes from trial and errors along with experience that a lot of the general public have no idea about.

Processing flowers is the foundation of floristry — a part of the job that you cannot skip it whether you love it or hate it.

Pink, but not just pink 💕

Overly obsessed with going for a monochromatic color palette. I love how T & E plays with it by incorporating so much textures and was open to all the different tints and shades of pink. Love how each lady’s dresses were so different, but at the same time complimented and matched the overall vision so well! Also each bridesmaid petite bouquet is different and are all flowers in T’s bouquet 😍

I’ve never been more in love with pink for a wedding.

The only kind of stress I want in life 😌

But seriously, how can one pick between the charming, rose-like Ranunculuses or the elegant and unique Anemones?

Different in the most beautiful way 💕

I always go back and forth with Butterfly Ranunculuses and Ranunculuses. Both are a part of the same Buttercup family and yet they look so different from the petals to the stems and even just their overall aesthetic.

Even in the same color palette, I genuinely cannot pick one over the other. Can you?

The perfect pop of color 😍

Originally we were going for a more soft, earthy color palette with whites, creams, peaches, terracottas and yellows for the florals. Then somewhere along the way we decided to switch to fuchsias and hot pinks. While the original color palette would’ve be pretty, something about this new palette is just so juicy and captivating.

Insanely obsessed with everything about this wedding. From the ocean views to the garden florals and of course the sweetest couple 💕
