MotorHome.

I was building a fairy house when I hit a creative wall. Honestly, I was just bored with it. I was riffing ideas with my husband, Kevin, when his eyes lit up and he said "Let's stick a truck on it!"

Kevin has been sketching cartoon vehicles with ridiculous amounts of personality since he was a little kid. He quickly drew this truck for me and I loved it. I had never made a vehicle before but I was up for the challenge.

Somewhere along the way, a mushroom took root on the roof. A crescent moon found its way into the wall. And some little creatures moved in.

At night, when the light flickers inside and the windows glow amber, I picture them tucked into the forest somewhere, done with their grand adventures for the day, reading a book, very much at home. 🍄

It'll be at Art Space on the Coast this weekend for . Stop by and peek through the windows!

Come for the ceramics, stay for the grey whales. 🐋

This weekend is and for the first time, my sculptures are coming together as a cohesive body of work. I'll have earthy goddess forms, enchanted fairy dwellings, mystical snake vessels, and little botanical dishes. The whole wild, whimsical family.

And Pacifica? She's showing off right now. Whale sightings near the pier. Gorgeous coastal trails. Fresh ocean air. Honestly, the art crawl writes itself.

Come celebrate with me. I'd love to tell you the stories behind these pieces. 🌿

The Anointing.

She is small, but she is powerful.

When she came out of the kiln, she took my breath away. That glaze running down her body, the way the fire transformed her. She went through the flames and came out luminous on the other side. Like there's a loving oil pouring down her beautiful, imperfect form.

I think the name found her perfectly.

She'll be on display at this weekend for my very first Silicon Valley Open Studios alongside four other ceramic artists. I'm so excited to be there! Come see her in person if you can. 🌿

Mirelda.

Her name came to me from the soil. “Mire” for the dark, damp richness of earth. “Elda” for the old one, the forest spirit who’s lived long enough to grow mushrooms on her skin.

This piece is one of those ideas that had been wandering around in my imagination for a while. I used my ceramics class at the community college as a kind of experimental playground to follow my curiosity and give this little forest spirit a body.

Every mushroom was formed by hand. I carved the woodgrain texture myself. She’s finished in a raw iron wash - no glossy glaze - so she feels like she’s been living in the forest for years.

To me, she’s a reminder that we are nature. Not separate from it, but shaped by the same wild mystery.

She’s about 8 inches tall, and I think she’s pretty dang magical.

Mirelda is now available for purchase at Art Space on the Coast, or feel free to DM me for details.

Alma.

This is the first sculpture I’ve ever made of a woman’s body.

This spring I took a ceramics class at the community college, giving myself space to play with ideas that had been whispering in my heart for years. This piece was one of them, and I’m so proud of how she came to life!

For most of my life, I believed the cultural lie that my body needed to be smaller, smoother, or younger in order to be beautiful, loved, or accepted. But finally, something shifted. I woke up. I challenged the lie. And I began to see the truth: that my body, ALL women’s bodies, are already sacred, worthy, powerful and magical, just as they are.

I sculpted Alma as a solid form, then carefully cut her into three pieces to hollow her out and put her back together, transforming her into a vase. During the firing process, a small hairline crack appeared - a reminder that even with the deepest care, things don’t always go as planned. But to me, that tiny fracture only adds to her story. She still stands with presence, still holds beauty, still offers space for something to bloom.

Alma is part of a deeper remembering. A love letter to the feminine form in all her wild, powerful softness.

There will be more.
More sculptures. More stories.
And soon, workshops where women can create their own sacred forms and reconnect with the truth of their bodies. Stay tuned!

The revolution begins with women remembering their sacredness.
