Weddings are beautiful.

But recurring hotel contracts that pay you every month?

Kinda chic. 💅🏼🌹🏨

WATCH THIS SPACE — I’m about to drop some BIG NEWS 🎉

Doing everything yourself is not saving your business money.

At some point, it starts costing you opportunities.

As the CEO, your job is to work on the business—not stay buried inside every single task it takes to run it.

Because when you’re designing, answering emails, ordering flowers, installing, invoicing, following up, selling, and trying to grow at the same time…something gets missed.

Usually, it’s the work that actually moves the business forward.

Hiring is an investment.

And yes, that means learning when to bring someone in, what you can afford to pay them, and where your money will create the biggest return.

I’ve also learned that paying a little more for the right person can be far less expensive than constantly rehiring, retraining, and rebuilding trust with your team.

A profit-first business is not built by holding onto every dollar.

It’s built by knowing where to reinvest so the business can grow without requiring more and more of you.

In this throwback podcast episode, I’m breaking down how much to pay your team, when to hire, and how to build a team structure that actually supports growth.

BE. DO. HAVE.

Detach from the outcome.

Works every time 🤑

Hotels are not choosing florals just because they look pretty.

They are building an experience you can recognize before you ever see the room.

The scent in the lobby.
The colors used throughout the property.
The textures, plants, and floral designs you see every time you visit.

It is all intentional.

A wellness-focused hotel may lean into greenery, orchids, and earthy textures. A glamorous luxury property may become known for dramatic red roses. Different designs—but both are reinforcing exactly how the hotel wants its guests to feel.

That is why hotel florals should never be pitched as “just arrangements.”

You are helping the property strengthen its identity, create emotional recognition, and deliver a consistent guest experience.

And once you understand the value you are actually providing, you can stop pricing your hotel work like a florist selling stems—and start pricing it like a strategic hospitality service.

You do not need to come from luxury to build a business that serves luxury clients.

I entered foster care at 12. I did not grow up vacationing in five-star hotels, learning about wealth, or watching people build sustainable businesses.

I had to learn all of it.

I had to learn how to lead differently.
How to trust and earn money.
How to build something that supported my life instead of consuming it.

For a long time, I only shared the successful part of the story because I thought that was what people wanted to hear.

But the success means more when you understand where it started.

Your past may have shaped you, but it does not get to decide which rooms you belong in, which clients you can serve, or what you are capable of building.

In this episode of Mornings with Mayesh, we talk about creating consistent income, building recurring revenue, moving beyond the wedding-only cycle, and becoming profitable—not simply busy.

Because you do not have to have seen it before to become the person who builds it.

What if the hotel says no?

But also…what if they say yes?

What if one conversation leads to a recurring contract that finally gives your floral business breathing room?

Too many florists stay busy chasing smaller, one-time clients because it feels safer than pitching the larger opportunity. But constantly replacing yesterday’s sale with tomorrow’s sale is exactly what creates the burnout you’re trying to escape.

Consistent income requires you to stop treating rejection like proof that you’re not ready.

A no is information.
A no is practice.
A no can move you closer to the client who is ready to say yes.

In this week’s Friday Podcast Feature, Franceska shares how she pushed through rejection—from her first business in the cigar industry to building a profitable floral business supported by recurring hotel contracts.

Your yes may be sitting on the other side of several no’s. You still have to be willing to ask.
