Planner season is in full swing, so come hang out with fellow analog planner enthusiasts and discuss strategies, materials, pens, washi tape, life tracking, chore charts and more with like minded people.

Enjoy a cozy hangout at ARCH After Hours with planner-obsessed ARCH employees. Have a fall check in with your planner or journal, or just make friends and share supplies and inspiration.

Join Cathy Raingarden for her next Guided Urban Sketching class at ARCH! Whether starting from scratch or looking to re-invigorate your sketching practice, now is the time to get inspired for a spring and summer full of sketching!

Cathy believes that everyone can learn to draw and this class is meant to demystify urban sketching in a friendly setting. She has designed the class in bite-size pieces that allow students to learn at a comfortable pace:

-The class warm-up exercises are designed to connect our eyes to our drawing hand and get rid of any worry.

-She covers basic one and two point perspective, and the use of small thumbnail sketches to figure out a composition that includes the three layers of foreground, midground, and background.

-Cathy will cover the importance of a limited palette, and show the range of colors you can mix.

-She will demonstrate a quick sketch that shows how to pull together the bite–size bits of learning into a final urban sketch.

-Students will have time to complete their own urban sketch onsite.

By warming up and learning in bite-size bits, students will be able to see how an urban sketch is pulled together. The friendly environment encourages questions of all kinds and we have a ‘sketchbook throw down’ of student work at the end, where we can all marvel at how uniquely we each see our environment.

Students will receive a super handy four page set of urban sketching notes to take home and help them on their urban sketching journey.

Go Beyond the First Brushstroke with Rhonel Roberts!

Join us for this watercolor experience at ARCH, Saturday, October 3rd, 11am-3pm. Tickets available at the link in our bio-- all materials included!

Watercolor is more than an introduction to paint—it is an invitation to see the world differently. As you continue, you’ll learn how water, color, light, and movement work together to create paintings filled with energy and feeling.

Each brushstroke builds confidence. Each unexpected blend becomes a discovery. Through guided projects inspired by flowers, architecture, everyday objects, people, and the beauty of San Francisco, you’ll strengthen your skills while developing a style that feels uniquely your own.

You don’t need to be “naturally artistic.” You only need curiosity and the willingness to continue. Your first watercolor experience opens the door; going deeper helps you discover just how much creativity has been waiting inside you.

Our Hobonichi stock has arrived and we are ready to party!

Join us on Monday the 31st as we open our doors at 7pm for your first chance to pick out your favorite new design, find your trusty yearly planner and peruse many of the limited edition accessories that we have added to our inventory. In addition, we'll have tables set up in back with snacks, drinks & more so you can chat with friends and talk with other Planner Enthusiasts about their set ups.

We have an Eventbrite in our bio that you can sign up as a reminder and will help us get a sense of how many people to expect.
