You know that moment when you open the fridge…
and the smell, the mystery containers and the sticky shelf all hit you at once like a personal attack?

💾 Save this before another science experiment forms in the back corner 💾

❌ Still spending 10 minutes searching for the cheese you know you bought?

❌ Still discovering leftovers you forgot existed… and now deeply regret?

💡 Here’s the truth: messy fridges make your whole day harder — from breakfast to dinner to the full emotional crisis somewhere in between.

✨ That’s why I use the LUX Organising Method — simple, sustainable steps that turn fridge chaos into “oh wow, I actually know what food I own.”

Here’s how it works in your fridge:

THE FRIDGE FRESHEN

L – Like Things Together
Pull out anything sitting front and centre: yoghurts, drinks, leftovers, produce you’re praying is still edible.
Group things by category so you can actually see what’s there.

U – Use It Where You Store It
Ask: “Is this still good?”
Expired? Bin.
Questionable? Also bin.
Daily-use items get pride of place.
Everything else gets relegated to a lower shelf or drawer where it belongs.

X – X Marks the Spot Where It Lives
Wipe the shelf, then place items back with intention — dairy together, drinks together, leftovers in one zone.
Your future self will send you a handwritten thank-you card.

Architect’s Tip: Dedicate one shelf to “Eat Me First.” It looks organised, reduces waste and stops food from dying a lonely death behind the sauces.

You know that moment when you open the pantry…
and immediately lose the will to live because nothing is where it should be and the snacks have unionised?

💾 Save this before the snack shelf stages a hostile takeover 💾

❌ Still foraging like a your on Survivor every time someone says “I’m starving”?

❌ Still buying things you swear you don’t have… until you find three of them behind the rice?

💡 Here’s the truth: your pantry doesn’t need matching containers — it just needs clarity and categories.

✨ That’s why I use the LUX Organising Method — quick, sustainable steps that make your pantry functional, calm and actually enjoyable to use.

Here’s how it works in your pantry:

THE SNACK STATION

L – Like Things Together
Pull out every snack — chips, bars, crackers, biscuits, those rogue muesli bars from 2021.
Group them by type so you can see what you’re working with.

U – Use It Where You Store It
Ask: “Do we actually eat this?”
If not, rehome it or bin it.
Place the most-used snacks at eye level so the family stops yelling, “WHERE’S THE FOOD?”

X – X Marks the Spot Where It Lives
Put snacks into one basket or tub.
No need for Pinterest-level perfection — just give the snacks a home and watch the chaos drop instantly.

Architect’s Tip: One clear plastic storage box per snack category instantly elevates the pantry. It’s the cheapest “designer pantry” trick an architect will ever give you.

💬 Comment or DM ‘7 DAYS’ and feel ready before they arrive.

You know that moment when a guest asks, “Can I use your bathroom?”
…and your soul leaves your body because you know EXACTLY what’s happening behind that door?

💾 Save this before your bench becomes a skincare museum 💾

❌ Still letting 19 half-empty bottles audition for a spot on the vanity?

❌ Still pretending that stray makeup wipe isn’t haunting the corner like a sad little ghost?

💡 Here’s the truth: bathrooms look messy not because they are messy — but because too much is visible at once.

✨ That’s why I use the LUX Organising Method — simple, sustainable steps that make your bathroom feel calm and fresh without a full renovation.

Here’s how it works in your bathroom:

THE COUNTER CLEAR

L – Like Things Together
Gather every product on the vanity: skincare, haircare, makeup, hotel minis you swear you’ll use someday.
Seeing them grouped instantly cuts the overwhelm.

U – Use It Where You Store It
Ask: “Do I use this every day?”
If the answer is no, it doesn’t get prime real estate.
Keep out only your two daily essentials.
Everything else lives in drawers or baskets — not on display.

X – X Marks the Spot Where It Lives
Wipe the bench and give your essentials a home on a small tray or dish.
Instant spa energy.
Zero effort. Maximum illusion of having your life together.

Architect’s Tip: Stick to two matching dispensers on the counter - hand wash and hand lotion. It looks intentionally styled and not like your products have formed a commune.

💬 Comment or DM ‘7 DAYS’ for a calm, guest-ready home.

You know that moment when you walk into the living room…
and it looks like your family lost a wrestling match with the cushions, the blankets, the snacks AND the remote controls?

💾 Save this before the sofa stages another eats another remote 💾

❌ Still pretending the throw rug “draped like that” on its own?

❌ Still wondering how cushions multiply overnight like unsupervised Gremlins?

💡 Here’s the truth: your sofa sets the emotional tone for the whole room — and visual chaos is just stress wearing a cosy jumper.

✨ That’s why I use the LUX Organising Method — quick, sustainable steps that turn a lived-in war zone into a space that looks intentionally calm (without banning real life).

Here’s how it works in your living area:

THE SOFA SWEEP

L – Like Things Together
Collect everything living its best life on the sofa: remotes, cups, toys, chargers, cushions doing the absolute most.
Group the essentials so you can see what stays.

U – Use It Where You Store It
Ask: “Does this need to live on the sofa?”
Spoiler: almost none of it does.
Return only the non-negotiables (remote, one throw, the cushions that spark joy — not the ones sparking resentment).

X – X Marks the Spot Where It Lives
Reset the sofa like you’re expecting guests who think you have your act together: fluff cushions, fold the throw, centre the joy.
Instant transformation. Zero effort.

Architect’s Tip: Use the 2 + 1 cushion rule — two cushions together and one on its own. It’s effortless, visually balanced, and stops cushion chaos in its tracks.

💬 Comment or DM ‘7 DAYS’ and get guest-ready without the scramble.

You know that moment when you walk into the kitchen…
and wonder if the bench has secretly signed up to be a storage unit, a mailroom and a snack graveyard?

💾 Save this before another “just shove it in the drawer” moment strikes 💾

❌ Still starting dinner prep by clearing a spot with your forearm?

❌ Still losing oil, salt, scissors and your sanity at least twice a day?

💡 Here’s the truth: clear counters make everything feel easier — and clutter is just visual noise pretending to be “busy.”

✨ That’s why I use the LUX Organising Method — smart, sustainable steps that turn chaotic kitchens into calm, functional ones (no matching containers required).

Here’s how it works in your kitchen:

THE COUNTER CLEAR

L – Like Things Together
Collect anything that doesn’t actually belong on the bench — papers, snacks, mail, lunchboxes, emotional support water bottles.
Group the true daily-use items together so you can see what deserves prime position.

U – Use it Where You Store It
Ask: “Do I use this every day?”
If the answer is no, it doesn’t get to live on the bench.
Daily essentials stay.
Everything else goes back to its proper home.

X – X Marks the Spot Where It Lives
Wipe the counter and give your essentials a designated landing zone — a tray, a board, anything that creates a visual boundary.
Suddenly it looks styled… not like survival.

Architect’s Tip: Place your teapot, tea, coffee and sugar in a metal tray. It’s the easiest way to fake a “my life is together” moment before 8 am.
