Only a few days remain to experience L’Arrivée at the before the doors close on the 25th! ✨

What began as an idea inspired by historic San Francisco homes, Paris couture ateliers, and the ceremonial feeling of arrival became a room layered with texture, light, and architectural rhythm. If you haven’t experienced the house yet, we’d love for you to see it in person before the final day.

This plasterglass console and organic mirror bring a tactile tension to the room, while the floral sconces from introduce a couture-like pulse. Every element was considered to make the entry feel less like a pass-through and more like a moment to linger within. ✨

One of the great joys of designing L’Arrivée was getting to work in conversation with the home’s existing architecture rather than against it. The coffered ceilings, carved staircase, leaded glass, and original millwork already carried such a strong sense of history- our role became one of refinement and continuation.

By softening the paneling in a pale blue-green limewash and layering in sculptural furnishings and lighting, we wanted the architecture to feel illuminated rather than overshadowed. The result is a space that feels rooted in the past while still unmistakably of the present.

Tucked beneath the original stained glass windows, this sitting area was designed as a quiet moment within L’Arrivée- a place to pause before the home unfolds further beyond the coffered halls. As light filters through the antique glass, the room shifts throughout the day, casting a soft glow across the pale green paneling, velvet seating, and layered textures beyond.

The L’Arrivée was designed as a sequence of unfolding moments rather than a singular entry. The tented passage creates a deliberate compression before the space opens into the coffered hall beyond- a quiet architectural pause that shifts the experience from intimate to expansive.

The pleated silhouette of the Ainsley chandelier and sconces, designed in collaboration with , takes cues from fashion pleating and drapery techniques that informed the room, particularly after time spent at La Galerie Dior in Paris.

We’re so grateful for the thoughtful features and generous coverage surrounding our entry. 🩶

It’s been an honor to see L’Arrivée shared through so many unique perspectives, each capturing the layers, references, and craftsmanship that brought the space to life. Thank you to all who have helped tell the story.

Rather than treating our foyer in the as a single space, L’Arrivée introduces a layered experience: a tented entry establishes compression, followed by a more expansive hall defined by coffered ceilings and refined millwork. Material choices, stone, wood, and tonal paneling, work together to bridge past and present, while custom lighting and furnishings introduce sculptural depth.

In our , a tented threshold establishes a moment of pause, followed by a coffered hall that restores rhythm and scale. Materiality was layered deliberately- tonal stone in a checkerboard pattern to ground the space, followed by pale green paneling to soften and diffuse light. Final selections- sculptural lighting and furnishings- were installed!

We couldn’t be more honored to see our entryway, L’Arrivée featured in for this year’s . 🩶

Inspired by time spent in Paris, the entry was reimagined with a distinctly French sensibility. Limewashed walls in a pale blue-green set a nuanced backdrop for custom upholstery and sculptural lighting, establishing a quiet, airy welcome from the very first moment.

We’re so grateful and proud to be included alongside such a thoughtful executed house. Tap the link in our bio to read more.
