For a long-time client, this beachfront home became the next chapter in a relationship built over many years and projects. The goal was to create a retreat that could work beautifully for family visits, guest weekends, and everything in-between.

Our rooms often starts with defining zones through furniture rather than walls. Here, a sculptural sofa creates a natural boundary between the kitchen and living area, while rugs and lighting help each space feel distinct yet connected.

Here, accessibility was integrated into the architecture of the room through a zero-threshold shower, discreet grab bars, and a gently graded floor. The result is a bath that supports ease, comfort, and independence while still feeling serene, personal, and spa-like.

The palette in this bedroom stays calm, but the room still feels layered with an understated HOLLY HUNT Design wallcovering, soft STARK underfoot, and handblown glass SkLO pendants. Each detail adds depth without making the space feel busy- exactly the kind of restraint that lets a room feel restful. ✨

In this living room, curved sofas were custom fabricated with a slightly higher seat height and adjusted firmness, making the room easier to move through and easier to enjoy. Rounded silhouettes, generous clearances, and lightweight tables keep the space open and comfortable, while the quiet palette lets the Bay views and the homeowners’ art collection take the lead.

In this home office, the built-ins bring warmth, storage, and a wallcovered backdrop for books and collected objects, while the lounge chair creates a quiet place to read, think, or take in a different pace of the day. Framed by custom glass doors, the room feels purposeful without being closed off from the rest of the home.

This home office was designed to feel connected to the larger living space while still holding its own point of view. Framed by sliding glass doors, layered with its own rug and lighting, and oriented toward the city beyond, the room becomes a true workspace without feeling closed off from the life of the home.

In this dining room, a wall that once interrupted a large window was removed, opening the room to the Bay views and giving the space a completely new sense of purpose.

From there, every detail was chosen to support the way the homeowners live now: a table that shifts from intimate dinners to larger gatherings, comfortable seating, a softly textured backdrop, and artwork that gives the room its emotional center.

On the 48th floor of San Francisco’s Millennium Tower, the view is extraordinary, but the real story of this project is how thoughtfully it was redesigned for the life unfolding inside it.

For longtime San Franciscans and longtime residents of this space, our team reimagined the home for its next chapter: wider pathways, reassigned rooms, accessible updates, artful furniture choices, and Bay views that shift beautifully throughout the day.

In the backyard of our Through the Looking Glass project, architecture and landscape move in sync. The pool in the backyard becomes a natural extension of it all, supporting both seamlessly.
