Three years ago, BOJAGI made its debut at the SF Chuseok Festival. Back then, the traditional art of bojagi wasn’t widely known, but I poured my heart into a mission: educating, sharing, and bridging my love for Korean craft and heritage with our vibrant San Francisco community.

Stepping into our 3rd annual festival this weekend felt completely surreal.

For the first time, I spent less time explaining what bojagi is, and more time reconnecting with familiar faces, loyal supporters, and repeat customers. Seeing so many of you return—bringing your friends and family along to share in the magic—moved me beyond words. You didn’t just come to shop; you came to celebrate a shared love for this timeless tradition.

With the official Chuseok holiday kicking off on September 24th in Korea, we’re sending so much love back home and celebrating right alongside our motherland. No matter where we are in the world, Chuseok is all about getting together with family, catching up with friends, and sharing awesome food. It’s our chance to pause, thank Mother Nature for the harvest, and appreciate everyone in our community who keeps us fed and cared for.

And honestly, it wouldn’t be Chuseok without Bojagi!
