On my morning walk ☺️

It doesn’t take as much discipline to get out the door anymore when you make a routine non-negotiable. It’s my small win in a bigger battle with ADHD.

At the same time, it’s easy to get pulled into work’s warm hole and forget to eat—or even move—until coffee and breakfast happen at noon. Or forget to put important commitments or payments in the calendar. Or try to do art business taxes and feel like it’s a full-on nightmare 🤯

Neurodivergence can be a blessing—it makes me curious, perceptive, and creative. It gets me into flow. But it can also feel like a heavy weight to carry, quietly undermining other parts of life.

This month is Neurodiversity Awareness Month—a small reminder that different brains deserve understanding, support, and space to work in their own way.

If you’re navigating this too, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken.

This week I took a little detour from my abstract work to paint a dog portrait as a birthday present for my best friend 🐾

“Joey”, 10×10”, acrylic on board — a small piece filled with a lot of love.

I lost a dear friend last week. It’s still hard to put into words.

My heart goes out to anyone who is grieving right now. Truly. There are no right words, but you’re not alone.

Moments like this shift something… they make life feel more fragile, but also more real.

I’ve been asking myself: am I living my life fully? Or am I waiting for a better version of myself to feel good enough for my dreams?

Life is precious.
You don’t have to wait to feel worthy of living it fully.

If you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences 🤍

This week I bought my first artwork as a collector.

For years I told myself I couldn’t afford to collect art — which is ironic, considering I’m an artist. But sometimes the stories we carry about money, worth, and what we’re allowed to have run deeper than we realize.
Lately I’ve been questioning those stories.
If we deserve to dream big and live fully, claiming what we want is part of the practice. For me, that also means becoming an art collector.

So I brought home this beautiful piece — Perseverance #1, 10×10 in, mixed media — after meeting Priyanka Pathak () at the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. It was so special to connect with the artist in person and buy this work directly from her.

Priyanka is currently part of “Common Ground – A Convergence on Abstraction,” a collaborative exhibition with and at Gallery 21 in Balboa Park, on view through March 9 (11am–4pm daily). The works in the show are beautiful and very reasonably priced, and pieces can also be shipped if you’re not local.

Hopefully not the last piece in my collection. ✨

So happy to finally hand off “Heartlight” to our Valentine’s draw winner, 💖

It means so much to see this piece go to someone who truly connected with it.

Thank you to everyone who joined the draw and shared the excitement — I loved seeing your names come through ✨

May this painting bring light and warmth to its new home.
