We are deeply sad to share our beloved member of the team, Julius, has crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈 We adopted him soon after we started Aspect 11 years ago and he has been in many ways the core of our business.

He loved having regular visitors in our customers and making friends each day. He loved sharing with customers his toy box in his garden corner and high level talent for creating a stuffing pile of destroyed toy parts while we designed your framing projects.

He was an amazing dog outside the frame shop that loved to eat, connect with nature, choose his bandanas to wear to work, and he deeply loved his friends and family.

Thank you for your patience while we resume production of your framing projects. We will also be returning to our normal business hours if you would like to memorialize a love one we will create something very special for you.

We will be doing the framing works for our boy: a shadowbox with his bandana, a paw print, and another painting to start.

A great memory is that he did design the framing for this portrait of himself (and one of his sister) by knocking the moulding sample off the wall with his nose.

Our client wanted a thoughtful way to showcase this Eagle Scout medal, pins, and badge, and the House of Maes | Picture Frame Manufacturer pin stripe frame was the perfect choice. The signature color and character complemented the pieces while honoring this incredible achievement.

We did a flawlessly elegant design for this acrylic ink drawing by Brooklyn artist Charles Buckley

The frame is solid cherry, curved corners with curved splines. We matted with a wide, 8 ply cotton rag mat. In addition to being the highest standard matting for preservation, it added the right sophistication to the design. The piece is also protected with Museum glass.

As always, we stand in solidarity with the LGBTQI community fostering creativity, self-expression, and identity.

We wanted to share, there is a Pop-UP Art show TONIGHT at 361 Architecture (560 Irving St.) hosted by our friend and Cole Valley artist Kim the Artist and ceramic artist, Brianne Lucke / Artist

The opening is from 5-8pm with artist talks at 6pm. Hope to see you there!

We recently framed this mixed media paper piece by Kim the Artist in a natural maple with a city grey stain. Kim has a meditative process in her work that comes through in the aura of her pieces. There are two sister pieces that will be at the show tonight as well as some larger pieces that we can’t wait to see. 😍

We framed this hand embellished print of “Blue Sky Canyon” by artist Benjamin Latham in the House of Maes | Picture Frame Manufacturer Nora carving, custom colored in a rich, burgundy called Divine Wine.

Our philosophy with color is to choose the right hue to complete the narrative of the piece. We chose Divine Wine because it mirrored the darkest tones in the painting, creating the right contrast and allowing the vibrant colors to stand out naturally.

We went as sleek and minimal as possible with an ultra-thin aluminum frame with a dark bronze-hued patina.
