Martine Paquin Design Martine Paquin Design was established in San Francisco in 2008 with a focus on modern, sustainable, environmentally design.

The firm's most recent focus is on high-end single family homes in the Bay area and the Tahoe area. Our designs are contemporary, with clean lines. We pay close attention to the natural light balance and how it plays off the materials. The management of a project is crucial to its success. We pride ourselves on being open, flexible, and responsive to our clients.

WHAT YOU DON’T SEE

The sightline from one room to the next. Where the lighting lands. The exact point where two materials meet.

Some of the decisions that make a room work are the ones you barely notice.

The holidays may still feel a few months away. The gatherings start sooner than we think.

We design dining spaces for all of it, long dinners, extra chairs, good conversation, and the people you want around the table.

Good design considers everyone who lives there.

Open circulation, durable materials, places to gather, and, occasionally, the perfect spot for four paws.

Because everyone should feel at home.

The best measure of a finished project? How it feels to live there.

We listen, collaborate, and keep the big picture in view from the first conversation to the final detail.

We’re always grateful when our clients share their experience.

A look at our Martis Camp project featured in .

What stays with us about this home is the relationship between architecture, interiors, and landscape. Each was considered as part of the same experience, allowing the home to feel connected to its surroundings without sacrificing warmth or personality.

A material should be beautiful. It should also work beautifully.

We consider color, texture, light, performance, longevity, and sustainability, always with the people who will live with it in mind.

The goal? Materials that look good, feel good, and last.

A mountain home should feel connected to where it lives.

Our Martis Camp project, featured in , was shaped by that idea from the beginning. Natural materials, warm modern interiors, and an openness to the landscape create a home that feels distinctly of its setting.

The finishing touches are going in at our Atherton ADU.

Lighting, furnishings, and final details are bringing warmth and personality to the architecture, but none of these decisions happen in isolation. Each one builds on the palette, proportions, and planning established much earlier in the project.

This is the stage when it all starts to come together.

Every home has a story before it's photographed.

We're grateful to for sharing this one and to everyone who helped shape it along the way. Seeing the finished work in print is always a meaningful milestone.
