I am an interior designer, drawn to beauty in all its forms, especially in art, architecture and fashion. I spend time finding out who I am working for — I am the consummate listener; my interest is not just what materials or colors a client prefers, or what kind of light they’re drawn to, or which design in a magazine caught their eye. But what attracts me the most is the nature of their own crea

tivity because sometimes I am simply their conduit, the one who can take what they imagine, even if they cannot quite express it, and bring it to life.

A couple of years ago, I had the joy of meeting Špela, her husband Robert, and their sons, and we quickly became good friends. Spela wrote an article to one of Slovenia’s leading architecture magazines .magazine and I am truly thankful to her and the magazine for featuring our home in this story. I can hardly wait for summer to spend time there and enjoy it with my family and friends- old and new.

It’s a perfect day when I browse in a bookstore and see my books: “111 Places in San Francisco that you must not miss” and “111 places in Napa & Sonoma that you must not miss” and “111 places in Silicon Valley that you must not miss” displayed alongside books featuring Slovenian towns on the cover.
