Hi hi! We have a new batch of circle swatch tees up on our site! We’ve been having so much fun making these big swatches with leftover paint from our paint making process. CfM Riverbed, CfM Hibiscus, CfM Algae and CfM Tide Pool are in this second round—we paired them with colorful Comfort Colors tees and are quite happy with how they turned out, but, if it’s a bit too much color for you we totally get it and we made an option available on our site to select any color swipe and switch the tee to Ivory! Those look nice, too!

I love how some colors are worn down, others have other colors mixed on the top and some are freshies ✨

I always reach for our grid paper when I’m sitting down to paint, after doing some color swatching of course! I try to not waste time thinking of what I want to paint and just start with something familiar or easy… I usually find other ideas trickle in once I start moving. What are your tricks for getting going? This is from this weekend’s getaway with my boo for our anniversary 💕 we had a magic weekend exploring our beautiful coast!

In our classes, we always tell people: don’t stress about your palette getting “dirty” — just paint, enjoy it, and mix freely without worrying about colors bleeding onto other pans. This is what I do—I let my paints dry completely, then gently resaturate and lift the color off the top. One or two dips in clean water and your paints are good as new.

Here I am refreshing CfM Ruby and CfM Blossom! I just grabbed the 14 blends I didn’t have and built myself the Max Feels palette in prep for 🎨 and I’m also writing an entire Note from Alexis in my head because I have so much more I want to say!!!
