throwback to the very beginning 👋 looking at these feels a bit like finding old high school photos. no watercolors, no art room -- just a small shop in the outer sunset and a big feeling that this was exactly where we were supposed to be. I feel nostalgic for this era of the shop and also feel so proud of where we are now! to everyone who's been with us since the start: thank you. you've created it all alongside us!

during the pandemic I started hosting zoom sessions where I'd talk through something I love: color matching. over time, through a lot of testing and practice, I refined my palette down to this set of 12 colors -- and I feel genuinely confident in the range you can mix from them.

that practice became a class in our art room. and now I've adapted it again to bring it back online next month. 🎨

we've also made the palette available as a premade set -- so you can practice at home with the exact colors I use.

recently we also hosted a team of engineers for a private workshop and they absolutely crushed it. turns out problem-solvers take to color theory fast. if your team is looking for a fun offsite, get in touch! creativity is good for everyone!

Swatch set from our new Art Toolkit Brights and Metallics travel palette! Here's what people say about our paints:
