Sometimes a room doesn’t need a complete makeover, it just needs a few thoughtful details.

This family room went from bland and unfinished to warm, layered, and full of character with a few strategic changes. By introducing wall detail, adding depth through texture, and swapping out a handful of accessories, we were able to completely transform the feel of the space without starting from scratch.

The result is a room that feels more intentional, inviting, and reflective of the family who lives there.

Hi! 👋 If you’re new here, I wanted to introduce myself.

I’m Trisha, the owner and principal designer behind Ocean Lane Interiors. I help families create homes that are beautiful, functional, and designed around the way they truly live.

When I’m not selecting tile, sourcing furniture, or visiting job sites, you’ll usually find me enjoying the things that inspire me most: traveling, discovering beautiful spaces, spending time with my family, getting lost listening to a good book, finding the perfect cup of coffee, or cheering on my boys in the activities they love.

Design has always been about more than making a space look beautiful to me. It’s about creating homes where life happens, where families gather, where stories unfold, and where memories are made.

I feel incredibly grateful that my work allows me to connect with amazing clients and help bring their visions to life. Every home has a story, and I love being part of creating the backdrop for those moments.

✨Have you had a chance to meet our intern? Meet Judy! ✨

Judith Gonzalez-Ruiz is a student at the Design Institute of San Diego and just one semester away from graduating with her BFA in Interior Design. Since joining Ocean Lane Interiors, Judy has jumped right into real-time projects, learning by doing and soaking it all in along the way.

She loves that this hands-on experience is a whole new kind of growth compared to the classroom, more interactive, more thought-provoking, and constantly pushing her to challenge herself in the best way. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly what she enjoys most.

Judy is especially excited to take everything she’s learned from both Ocean Lane and school and apply it out in the real world. This experience has been a great reminder of why she chose interior design in the first place and it’s keeping her inspired, motivated, and focused on her future as a designer.
