Unhinged Craft Candles

10/13/2026

ICYMI: We’re giving a new spot a spin at the Downtown SLO Farmers' Market this week! Come say hi and sniff some candles from 6-9pm. We’d love to see you there.

It’s October, so we have a new Candle of the Month for you (and it’s a fan-favorite)!
Pacific Woods is 10% off this month. We’re manifesting cooler fall weather with this one - the AC bills have not been fun this year.
Notes of sage, oakmoss, tonka bean, and amber on this one 👃🏼

Pacific Woods is 10% Off During October!

We, probably like you, are SO READY for some cooler weather and fall vibes. It doesn't look like mother nature is quite there yet here on the West Coast, but we're just going to manifest that cooler weather with the perfect candle for the season: Pacific Woods.

Jars and tins of this candle are 10% off for the rest of the month!

Need a refresher? Here's the scent profile:

Top: Sage, orange, grapefruit.
Middle: Lavender.
Base: Oakmoss, tonka bean, amber.

We hope you're staying cool and have some fun stuff lined up this fall. We're booked and busy for practically the entire month of October 🫠 Should be a fun one, though.

One little piece of business in our connection section: we've decided to stop attending the San Luis Obispo Farmer's Market every other Thursday evening. We both work full-time jobs in addition to running Unhinged, and it was getting to be a bit much. We're trying to find some more balance, and this was low-hanging fruit!

Don't worry, you can find (and sniff) a selection of our candles at Making SLO in downtown SLO any time they're open, and we're going to the Traffic Jam Vintage Markets in Atascadero in October, November, and December. We'll be sure to announce any other pop-up markets we'll be participating in, too.

Stay lit,
Rob + Travis

Hi friends! We have made the decision to stop attending the SLO Farmer’s Market every other Thursday. We both have full-time jobs in addition to doing Unhinged, and honestly, it’s been a lot to manage. We’ll be taking a little more time for ourselves 🧘‍♂️

That said, you can find a selection of candles at Making SLO | San Luis Obispo Gift Shop & Souvenirs during their business hours, and we’ll also be at the monthly Traffic Jam Vintage + Handmade Market through the end of the year.

Thank you for understanding!

Small business owners do SO MUCH, so we do our best to support each other. We want to shout out our friend Zoe’s work in case you’re looking for some cool gifts for the holiday season.

started as a personal craft page for Zoe - she shared her watercolor doodles or whatever way she was playing with colors that day. Over the past few months, she’s come alive as a self-taught stained glass artist. She works full time as a veterinarian, but when she’s not at work, she’s either getting lost in the woods or watching reality TV and making stained glass. is fully accepting orders, whether it’s one of the designs shown here or something else you can dream up. All she wants to do is bring a little color to your world! DM for inquiries.

It’s the first day of Fall, and we’re ready for ideal candle weather. Our favorite candle for this time of year is Big Sur. Foresty, fresh, and and reminiscent of the coastal seasons we experience here on California’s Central Coast.

Pictured here is the concept art and the final product for this candle, both done by Travis Tredway. The goal was to capture the essence of some of our favorite places here and match the scent to the place. Rob and our customers all agree he did a great job bringing the idea to life in Adobe Illustrator!
