After 14 hours of work I had to strip and start all over. Ugh! This is Lilly by BB. Her vinyl has all kinds of pits and imperfections that the paint is pooling in. She is my last bargain basement kit. Only quality kits from now on.

I stepped out of my comfort zone and took Savanah to Walmart. Not one person stopped me to ask about her on a crowded Sunday afternoon. I didn't make eye contact with anyone because I was too self-conscious so, I don't know if anybody even looked at her. I had business cards and was trying to get my name out there.

People often ask why reborn babies are so expensive. It's an easy answer...the kits (inexpensive ones) and supplies are about $150 and it takes a minimum of 20 hours to paint, not counting baking time of each layer, set up time, or clean up time. There are a lot of fine details involved.
