We love this custom round dining table, topped with a porcelain slab of Macchia Vecchia by Ascale. The luminous ivory background, dramatic charcoal veining, and little flashes of amber and gold give it plenty of personality, while the round shape keeps everyone part of the conversation.

The weather is getting noticeably, which means we’re officially entering sweater weather and fireplace season—and yeah, we’re not mad about it.

This mid-century modern desert oasis gives us plenty to look at, with three different ceramic tiles bringing pattern, texture, and warm neutral tones to the surround. The dimensional tile stretches all the way up to the ceiling, while the other two keep things grounded and balanced.

It feels authentically retro, unexpectedly modern, and is most certainly the kind of room where we’d light a fire, strip off our sweaters and pour ourselves some liquid libations and settle in for the weekend.

We can’t believe it’s already the first Monday of October. While we’re not quite ready for the cooler days and earlier sunsets ahead, we can get in the spirit of the season—as long as there’s a good fire waiting at the end of the day.

This stunning vertical fireplace surround is wrapped in 4” x 16” limestone in a rich Gray Flannel tone. Natural variation and subtle veining add just enough character while keeping the overall look calm, warm, and architectural.

Friday has officially entered the chat and our plans for the evening include something cold in the glass, good music on, and absolutely nowhere else to be.

This little bar is doing a lot with a small footprint. The 3” x 3” emerald-glazed tile runs from counter to ceiling, wrapping the alcove in a rich golden green that shifts through hints of mint, aqua, olive, and moss. The opalescent edges catch the light beautifully, especially next to the glass shelving and all those crystal glasses waiting for their moment.

It’s sophisticated without taking itself too seriously—which feels about right for a Friday. Now, who’s pouring?

Fall is an official invitation to cook something good. 😋

Pumpkin bread on the counter, soup simmering on the stove, kids wandering in to see what smells so good—this is the kind of kitchen that feels like it was made for all of it.

We love the contrast of the two black ceramic tiles on the backsplash. One brings pattern and movement, while the other adds dimensional texture, creating a backdrop that feels graphic but still warm against the light countertops and natural wood cabinetry.

A little Scandi simplicity, a little Japanese craftsmanship, and a whole lot of room for family, food, and whatever else ends up happening in the kitchen.

t’s Wednesday. The laundry is multiplying. Might as well make the room doing all the work look good.

We love this light blue and white laundry room, especially the handcrafted cement tile underfoot. Inspired by Galileo and the beauty of a star-filled night sky, its pattern brings a little bit of wonder to a room that usually gets very little credit.

Because yes, there are probably three loads waiting. But there’s no rule saying laundry day can’t happen in a fun space.
