Quite a difference from last night.

The storm rolled through, the rain came down, and today Sandpoint looks like summer again.

Days like this bring people back downtown, windows open, sunshine on the sidewalks, and a steady stream of folks wandering in and out of the shop.

If you're out enjoying the weather, stop in and take a look around. There’s always something new finding its place in here.

A lot of people downtown this time of year end up wandering into Northwest Handmade “just to look” and then realize they’ve been in there for half an hour.

Furniture, local artwork, lamps made from naturally shed antlers, handmade gifts, pottery, quilts, and rooms that keep changing as pieces find new homes and new work comes in.

Feels good seeing Sandpoint wake back up again after winter.

If you’re downtown enjoying the sunshine this week, it’s worth stopping in and taking a lap through the shop.

Memorial Day weekend in North Idaho always feels like the real beginning of the season.

The lake wakes back up. Windows are open again. People are headed downtown, out to the mountains, and back into the sunshine after a long stretch of winter.

And underneath all of it is the reason for the weekend — remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The shop’s full right now — handcrafted furniture, artwork, quilts, gifts, and pieces built by makers from around the region.

If you’re out and about this weekend, stop in and wander for a while.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and restful Memorial Day weekend from all of us at Northwest Handmade.

Always something different around the corner.

A log bed in one room. Handcrafted tables in another. Wildlife paintings, metalwork, lamps, little details tucked onto shelves you don’t notice until the second time through.

That’s usually how people move through the shop — one piece catches them first, then another, and suddenly they’ve been wandering around for half an hour.

This stretch of weather has the whole town out again, and the showroom feels good right now. Bright afternoons, doors opening all day, and new work continuing to show up from makers around the region.

If you’re downtown this weekend, stop in and see what’s changed lately. Or give us a call at 208.255.1962 if something in the reel caught your eye.

A few corners of the shop lately.

One room turns into another pretty fast around here. Cabin-style beds, wildlife art, handmade furniture, metal trees climbing the walls, little tables tucked into corners, paintings you notice on the second walk through.

This place shifts with the seasons just like the town does. Spring crowds start showing back up, windows stay open longer, and somehow the whole showroom feels lighter this time of year.

A lot of different makers, a lot of different styles — all finding their way into the same space.

Walked in and everything changed.

This front room usually holds one of our bedroom sets, but that set found its forever home — which meant we got to bring in something completely different. Now the whole space has been reworked with a long dining table, benches, layered artwork, lighting, pottery, and a whole lot of pieces that feel right at home going into summer around here.

That’s part of the fun of this place. Rooms don’t stay the same for long. Furniture moves out, new work moves in, and suddenly the whole showroom feels different again.

With the sunshine finally sticking around, this setup felt like the right shift for the season.

If you haven’t been in for a while, stop by and take a look around. Or give us a call at 208.255.1962 if something in the reel caught your eye.

A lot of different hands in one shop.

Paintings, wildlife art, wine stave pieces, maps, metalwork — and this time of year, with the longer evenings and the whole town waking back up again, the colors around the shop seem to hit a little differently.

Spring always changes the rhythm around here. Windows open, people back downtown, more light coming through the storefront, and new work showing up from makers and artists all over the region.

Some pieces are detailed and quiet. Some are bold enough to stop you mid-walk through the room. That mix is part of what keeps the shop feeling alive.

We’re looking for a little extra help around the shop this season.

Part-time, flexible hours, and a good fit for someone who enjoys people, local makers, and the kind of work that changes with the seasons around here.

Retail experience is great, but being warm, dependable, and comfortable talking with customers matters more.

Stop by the shop or give us a call at 208.255.1962 if you’re interested.

Made for little years.

Handmade bunk beds, quilts, books, toys, mobiles, and artwork — all pulled together into a room that feels like childhood up here in the Pacific Northwest.

A lot of care goes into these spaces, and it shows in the details.

If you’ve been putting together a room for kids or grandkids, stop in and take a look around. Or call 208.255.1962 if there’s something specific you’ve been searching for.
