As designers, we often say that great design begins long before materials, colors, or furniture are selected. It begins with space planning.

In my experience, space planning is the foundation that determines how a space will function, feel, and ultimately be perceived by the client. A well-planned layout creates natural flow, clarity, and comfort, allowing people to interact with the environment effortlessly.

Clients may not always recognize the technical planning behind a space, but they immediately feel the difference. When circulation is smooth, zones are thoughtfully defined, and every area serves a purpose, the space becomes more engaging and memorable.

Good space planning doesn’t just organize a space, it shapes the client experience and strengthens the identity of the environment we design.
