✨ THE SNEAK PEEK IS FINALLY REVEALED! ✨

Just made a special drop-off Against The Grain Shoppe in Southern Pines! 🌲

Remember those mysterious little packages I shared a while back, all wrapped up in paper? 👀 Well… THIS is what’s been in the works!

Introducing Birchwood Hanging Car Freshies — which can be paired with a bottle of fragrance oil so you can refresh them and use them again and again. 🚗✨

And of course, they’re scented in Land of the Pines — a fragrance available exclusively at Against the Grain.

Simply hang your Birchwood freshie in your car and enjoy. When the fragrance begins to fade, add a little of the refill oil and bring it right back to life!

🎃 SOMETHING WICKED IS WANDERING IN… 👻🕯️

This October, The Wandering Texan is bringing an EXTREMELY LIMITED EDITION collection of Halloween candles to the Haunted Harvest Shop!

And when I say limited… I mean it.

Once these spooky little beauties sell out, there’s no guarantee the same candles will return. Each one is part of a small seasonal release created especially for Halloween. 🕸️✨

Oh—and that picture? 👀
Just a tease. 😏

I have a few tricks (and treats) still hiding up my sleeves.

🎃 Limited quantities
👻 Halloween exclusives
🕯️ Available this October at Haunted Harvest Shop
⚰️ Once they’re gone… they may be gone for good.

Stay spooky. Keep wandering. 🤠🖤

The cleaning and sanitizing of these amber bottles is just one step on my checklist as I prepare for the Lavender Oaks Farm candle workshops. ✨

When I tell you the blends you all create with Mrs. Lavender’s lavender oil and the fragrance oils I bring… whew! The scents are absolutely incredible and make my entire kitchen smell amazing. 🕯️💜

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.
Their sacrifice, courage, and service will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day.
Honor. Remember. Never forget.

I wanted to try a little experiment… 🕯️

I took a 4 oz candle insert and placed it into a 5.5-inch tall with a diameter of 2.75 inches, recycled glass candle container. After lighting it and letting it burn, I came back to find that it had self-extinguished.

The candle insert had tunneled about 1.5 inches deep, and as you can see, the insert doesn’t fully meet the edges of the container — because it wasn’t designed for this specific vessel.

The inserts I create are carefully made and thoroughly tested for the containers they are intended for. Candle performance depends on many factors, and proper vessel pairing is one of the most important.

While you are absolutely welcome to use your own containers, I can’t guarantee you’ll get the full, proper burn experience from the insert/candle when used outside of its tested vessel. 🤍

Hey y’all! I know I know… It’s been a looooongggg time! But the time is coming soon! A lot has happened behind the scenes with family and business so it’s held me up just a little 🤏! The table will look different May 15th at the market so I hope you will come on out and check out the new layout! 😉 You can always reach out for smell goods anytime either here or online if you can’t wait till a market. This will be the only one till September due to the heat 🫠 which the soy wax does not do well in. Anyways… 😂 Hope you see you all in 2 weeks!!! 🎉
