I always come back from Brazil full of ideas. 🇧🇷

I love how Brazilian design mixes beautiful woods, stone, glass and warm lighting in such a natural way. These kitchens and closets caught my attention because they are modern and clean, but they still feel warm and comfortable.

Brazil never disappoints when it comes to design. ❤️

Ending a very inspiring working week in São Paulo. 🇧🇷

So good to be back working with designer colleagues of mine, putting ideas together and creating modern interiors with beautiful Brazilian furniture.

I love seeing Brazilian design having such a strong moment, great woods, natural materials and so much personality.

Lots of inspiration to bring back to Aria in Santa Barbara. 🤎

The beginning of the Santa Barbara Design District ✨

From the corner of Olive and Gutierrez Streets, something special is taking shape.

At the heart of it is the Santa Barbara Design Center, home to Aria Kitchen + Bath, Rugs & More, Sheri B Fabrics, Surface Studio and Shand Design.

And we’re lucky to be surrounded by knowledgeable neighbors like San Luis Marble and Bailey’s Handcrafted Frames, with Tileco, Ferguson Home, Buena Tile and Home Improvement Center just a few steps away.

And there’s more to come.

It started with a dream, and so many talented people are helping bring it to life. 🤎

We love the timeless white cabinetry, the architectural details, and especially the warm wood island that feels more like a beautiful piece of furniture.

What a special evening. Michael hosted a beautiful event for a wonderful group of women who truly appreciate the art and history of rugs, and I ended up staying, listening, learning, and feeling completely inspired.

We learned about rugs from the Qashqai tribe, antique rugs that are 200–300 years old, and the meaning behind so many of their motifs—lotus flowers, animals, running water, and symbols that tell stories from another time and place.

As a designer, I am always looking for inspiration and for ways to bring meaningful elements into a room. Pieces with history and a story behind them make a space feel so much more personal.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without falling in love with an antique rug of my own. 🤎 It will be going right under my desk at Aria’s showroom, where I can enjoy it every day.

I love surrounding myself with things that have meaning, history, and soul.
