THIS IS WILD!!!

There is a craze going on in the leather world right now and Leatherwise has been an unwitting beneficiary of this worldwide mania.

There is a French company called Louise Carmen(https://louisecarmen.com/)that makes journal covers in Paris and they have apparently gone viral, to the point where lots of DIYers are trying to make these things themselves.

And they have been coming into our store in droves in the past month. A couple, every day!! So I started asking what's up?
And they told me, over and over and over!!
I've never seen anything catch on so fast and so thoroughly!

SOOOOOOOO, if you're a DIYer, looking for any and all materials to make beautiful leather journals, we have it all.
Come and get it and Do It Yourself.

It's what we're about.

This has absolutely nothing to do with leather but it's the coolest plant in our store and I don't even know what it is or where it came from. If anyone knows, let me know.
It volunteered in a planter installation of succulents. Never seen anything like it. Those are the babies, growing along each leaf. They root and drop and on it goes!

How does nature come up with these ideas??!!
If anyone wants some of the babies, we're adopting them out by the handful. There are tons of them.
Come and get some!

THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR AT LEATHERWISE!

This family came in and one of the kids, Gabe, wanted to make a pair of moccasins to enter into the County Faire this week. I believe it was his first leather project, ever.

The family sent the sweetest thank you card in the mail, with a picture of him, with his mocs, which he then entered in the Faire.
And guess what?! That's right!

He won first prize in the County Faire for those moccasins!!!!!
And the second project he made, a c**n skin hat, won 2nd prize!!
Gabe, you rock!!

Thanks for making my heart happy.
