My name is Yeshe Jackson, I'm an artist based in Santa Cruz, California. My formal art education was at Humboldt State University, where I received a Bachelor's degree in studio art in 2003. My passion is for creating paintings that are so realistic that they will transport you directly to a specific place, so that you can experience being there every time you look at one. Seascapes are one of my favorite subjects at the moment, although I also love landscapes and wildlife paintings.

This is one of my recent favorites… I love the contrast of the bright orange and umber sky with the cool blue foam on the ocean surface. It also has just the right amount of reflected light to really tie it together.

This painting was a really fun challenge! It’s a different perspective from most of my seascapes but still has many of the same features and qualities. I really love the feeling of fluid movement that it brings.
