Please join us on Wednesday, August 12th at 5:30 PM for a conversation on the living heritage of the sarape saltillo textile tradition with textile historical and collector, Mark Winter, and Tlaxcalan weavers Ignacio and Pedro Netzahualcoyotl.

Join us on Wednesday, August 12th at 5:00 PM during the week of Indian Market for the third annual exhibition with the Netzahualcoyotl family entitled, The Flowers Keep No Secrets.

We will host a talk with textile collector and historian, Mark Winter, as well as Ignacio and Pedro Netzahualcoyotl on the history of Mexican sarape textiles starting at 5:30 PM on Wednesday.

Ignacio and Pedro will be in person all weekend. Please come visit if you are in town.

Join us at Heritage by Hand in Sena Plaza this Friday, July 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to meet Natalia Toledo, Zapotec poet and artist. Enjoy Oaxacan dishes, mezcal, and conversation in the Sena Plaza courtyard as we celebrate the future reopening of La Casa Sena with our partners, La Casa Sena and Garcia Street Books.

The menu features some of Natalia’s favorite Oaxacan recipes, including garnachas, tlayudas, and mole de camarón. Garcia Street Books will have her latest trilingual book available for purchase and signing. The evening will also include a mezcal tasting with a flight of three mezcals, a reading and conversation with Natalia about her most recent poetry collection, Carapace Dancer, and an in-store pop-up featuring twenty one-of-a-kind silk huipils, traditional textiles, and jewelry.

Please join us on Friday, July 10th in Sena Plaza from 5:30-7:30 pm for an evening with Natalia Toledo, Zapotec poet and artist. We are hosting this event on the patio of La Casa Sena with Garcia Street Books in celebration of the future re-opening of La Casa Sena. Please join us to enjoy the plaza on a summer's evening.

The team at La Casa Sena will make some of Natalia's favorite Oaxacan recipes. Garcia Street Books will have her latest trilingual book available for signing.
