I know there hasn’t been any to very little posts with the Smokehouse. There is a reason why lol! 7 yrs ago I was diagnosed with RA. Rheumatoid arthritis. Trust me this form is no joke. I’ve been on a medication for the last 7 yrs that has kept it at bay from the swelling to intense pain in my joints. I was told by my doctor that the med would wear off in about 7 yrs also. So all this time I thought it was just regular aches and pains that come along with job duties that I have been feeling when it was really the medication wearing off. The light bulb didn’t come on to that fact till it was too late. Forget about using your hands for picking up sometimes the simplest things, bending, standing even laying in bed. It sucks trust me. Fast forward… been on a new med for the last 13 weeks. Didn’t seem like it was working till week 10 of being on it. The dosage was upped too. This morning I woke and the swelling was at an all time low and the pain is almost gone. I never missed work. Just bit the bullet and worked my way through it. I know in a couple of weeks the smoke will roll once again and I’ll be back in my happy place. Just wanted to share. You guys be blessed.

What a day it was. The briskets are slammin! Moist, juicy and tender. Even had a trainee out there with me. Deborah Cole gave a helping hand cutting up the burnt ends, making the presentation perfect and helped me with the clean up. Sure was nice. We get to enjoy it all tomorrow night at the City’s Christmas Party. Glad to be able to do it. Y’all be blessed. Good night.
