Stopped by last week to see clients who have been in their home approximately eight weeks now. As the mama rinsed baby’s hands in the sink I sat at the dining table watching with delight. So many decisions went into the making of this home and now they are in, enjoying the fruits of those decisions, and it is very fulfilling. But it simultaneously feels like whiplash when a project ends. To go from non-stop work then *p**f* it’s over. They are grateful and love their home, which makes it easier to accept that my work is done here, I did what I came to do. I am bad about professional photography when a project ends. But maybe these iPhone pictures of real life carry more weight? I am going to photograph this one, when the roll-up shades get released from customs jail in Atlanta. They’ve been stuck since late July. If anyone knows anyone in that customs office HMU. 📞👮🏻♂️🪟
