At our project, the wood didn't stop at the front door.

From the warm walnut cladding on the exterior to the kitchen cabinetry, the slatted TV wall, the bedroom accent panels — the natural materials run through this home room by room. It’s what makes every space feel connected to the one before it, and to the world just outside the windows.

That's a wrap on High Point Market Fall 2026.

Sunday's session, The Human Advantage: What AI Can't Replace, was everything we hoped it would be. A full room, real conversations, and a topic that clearly landed: as technology continues to reshape this industry, the things that actually build a design business are still deeply human. Trust. Empathy. Relationships. Emotional intelligence. AI can support the work. It can't replace the person doing it.

A dark four-poster anchored by a sculptural capiz chandelier. Abstract art in deep teal and gold flanking the bed on both sides. Textured drapery that filters the light without fighting it. A striped lumbar that earns its place. A parquet nightstand with a single brass geometric object — because the details on the bedside table always matter.

This is the guest suite at . Every decision made with the same intention as the rest of the home.

High Point Market. Halfway through. 🤍

Yesterday's session — The Psychology of Luxury: Why Clients Buy, Resist & Say Yes — at the Universal Furniture Showroom was a full room and even fuller conversations. The kind that don't really end when the mic turns off.

Our project has plenty of drama elsewhere in the house. Calacatta Viola, brass inlay, deep plum cabinetry. The bedroom got to take a breath.

Same personality, quieter voice. An iron canopy bed with that slightly pointed arch, wallpaper that reads like cracked stone, and a spotted rug because a neutral room still deserves a little mischief. The amber glass chandelier handles the rest. 🤍

This Lakewood Ranch home had great bones. It also had an A-frame kitchen ceiling, an island in the wrong spot, and a few scale issues quietly making every room work harder than it needed to. So we lowered and flattened the ceiling, resized and moved the island, and added an archway and corbels so the new work actually talks to the original architecture.

Then the fun part. Sage fabrics, an abstract forest-scene wallcovering, and the homeowners' own antiques, grouped so they tell a story instead of just sitting there looking expensive. Even the plaster detail on the kitchen hood shows up again in the outdoor kitchen.

Most people don’t decide to redesign a room. It happens to them. They walk past the same living room arrangement for three years, vaguely aware that something isn’t right, until one day they can’t ignore it anymore.

The decision to redesign usually arrives not as a sudden inspiration but as the quiet exhaustion of a space that has stopped working. And by the time most clients call us, they’ve been living with it longer than they should have.

A little breeze, a little sunshine, and a very good reason to stay outside.

For our Breeze & Blossom project, the lanai was designed as a true extension of the home, with distinct spaces for lounging, dining, and cooking that make outdoor living feel just as comfortable and considered as what’s inside.

Natural textures and a soft, neutral palette keep the focus on the Florida landscape, while the patterned tile, woven furnishings, and black architectural details add just enough contrast and personality.

And with the pool only a few steps away, this is exactly where we’d be spending the weekend. ☀️

One of our favorite things to do is design around the pieces that already mean something.

This bar cabinet at our was already part of the story before we ever walked in. Our job was simply to give it the moment it deserved, paired with the art, the brick, the details that make this space unmistakably his.

If you have pieces you love, bring them. The best rooms are the ones that couldn't belong to anyone else.

Happy . 🏠

A well-designed home doesn't just feel good on the inside. It contributes something to the street, the neighborhood, the community around it. Curb appeal isn't vanity — it's a small act of consideration for everyone who passes by.

Today feels like a good reminder of that.
