We are delighted to share Water’s Edge, gracing the cover of Home & Design Magazine’s Florida Suncoast Fall 2026 issue. Set along the intimate waterways of Bird Key, this waterfront residence is an exploration of crystalline blue waters, natural light, and reflection, where its extraordinary setting becomes an integral part of the design story.
Rooted in the timeless character of Old Florida architecture, the home’s classic brick and stucco exterior introduces a refined coastal sensibility. Beyond the entry, weathered oak flooring establishes a natural warmth, setting the tone for a sophisticated interpretation of modern coastal living.
Inspired by the surrounding waterfront, the interiors unfold in a palette of ocean blues, soft neutrals, and warm natural tones. Custom cabinetry, handblown glass lighting, polished chrome, and translucent details are balanced with organic textures, creating a refined yet effortlessly livable coastal retreat.
Throughout the residence, expansive water views carry from one space to the next, creating a visual rhythm that seamlessly connects the interiors to their surroundings.
Perhaps MHK Architecture Founder and President Mathew Kragh captured the collaboration best: “This was the designer taking our raw space and working magic with it.”
We are incredibly proud to see Water’s Edge celebrated on the cover, showcasing a residence where architecture, interiors, and landscape come together as one cohesive waterfront experience.
