A little behind the scenes at Hazel Home Co. lately.

Tea towels are arriving, fall pieces are being gathered, and I’m starting to figure out what exactly my 10 × 10 market booth can hold. (Hopefully quite a lot.)

I’ve also been playing around with the idea of putting together a few collected baskets — mixing Hazel textiles and candles with one-of-a-kind vintage finds. Something that could make a lovely gift, or simply a little collection for your own home.

There’s a lot coming together around here right now, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of it with you as everything takes shape.

Nothing in nature matches.

The shoreline isn’t coordinated.

The trees aren’t the same shade of green.

The water never repeats itself.

Yet somehow, it all belongs together.

I’ve started wondering if our homes were ever meant to match either.

The rooms we love most rarely arrive all at once. They’re gathered over years. A favorite chair. An old brass candlestick. A linen tea towel that’s been washed soft with time. A piece found on a Saturday morning that somehow always belonged.

Maybe a collected home isn’t about finding everything that matches.
