Years ago, fresh out of school and doing all the cool stuff I couldn’t quite believe I got to do and not fully knowing what I was doing, I was at Release Marine (STUNNING custom woodwork/specializing in handmade sport fishing equipment and yacht furnishings made in Savannah, GA). This boat right here, designed by Zurn Yacht Design was a beauty I got to work on. She needed a sexy interior to go with her natural outer beauty. Oxblood leather helm chairs, high gloss teak (not a shy matte), and loads of stainless. I was so proud to have even a small roll in her transformation.
Fast forward to today, and I’m sitting across the table from Doug Zurn again -this time as the founder of Verge Yacht Design, collaborating with him on something brand new. No oxblood leather this round. Different palette, different project, still just as sexy. Just a very different seat at the table.
Some people stay in your story. This one just came full circle. -Anita

Sometimes inspiration is exactly where you’d least expect it — like a cherry.
That deep curve, the glossy skin, the way it holds all the “juice” in one perfect, compact shape. It became the starting point for a wine storage piece we designed for a gorgeous . Sculptural, sensual, built to hold what matters. We chased that same tension: something round and inviting on the outside, doing serious work on the inside.

The result is easily one of our favorite details on this boat. A little indulgent, a little unexpected…the cherry on top of the whole design. 🍒🍷

We teamed up with the crazy talented folks to shape an exterior coffee table that transforms yacht outdoor living into an experience of precision and intent. Vision and craftsmanship united by a shared understanding of excellence.
That same table just took home the Bespoke Cabinetry/Installation Award at The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2026 in Venice, Italy.

Grateful for the collaboration, the craftsmanship, the new friendships, and now, the hardware! 🏆
