Before a wedding begins, there is a quiet, peaceful rhythm we find ourselves in. The farm is filled with the clinking of glasses as dishware is set out, the low rumble of a cart as seating is arranged where it should be, the laughter of familiar, or maybe new, vendors as we greet each other and chat about the upcoming celebration. Although there is constant movement, it feels practiced and comforting.
These are some of our favorite moments at Broadturn, the calm before the celebration, when the farm is waking up to another story about to unfold. As we begin another wedding season, we’re grateful for every couple who chooses to gather their people here, and for the chance to help create a space where memories can take root.
