Thrilled to share that this bar won the 2026 Westchester Design Award for Specialty Room. Our clients came to us with a very specific vision: they wanted the feeling of a sophisticated boutique hotel bar, right in their own living room. Moody and luxe and a space that would feel like an escape. Seeing it come to life exactly as we envisioned was incredibly rewarding. The judges described the room as “sophisticated and sexy”.

We’re also so proud to have been named finalists in the Butler’s Pantry and Laundry Room category for the same home. It’s especially meaningful to see several spaces from one project recognized and even better knowing our clients get to live in and enjoy this beautiful house every day.

A little Nantucket black tie and apparently I dressed for the interiors color of the moment.

Deep plum, oxblood, burgundy, aubergine, these rich, moody tones are my favorite colors and are having such a moment in interiors right now. They feel sophisticated, warm and just dramatic enough, especially paired with softer neutrals, warm woods, aged brass or deep chocolate.

And yes, it was also a very good excuse to get dressed up with my handsome date.

Beautiful living room moment. Now imagine this room without the accessories, it would feel empty and soulless. It’s that last layer of art, sculptures, books and beautiful objects that makes the room feel special and finished.

Ravello ended up being my favorite surprise of the trip.

It felt chic, calmer and removed from the busier energy of the coast.

We spent an afternoon at Palazzo Avino, and I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Between the amazing views, lush gardens, pink umbrellas and the iconic pink facade, it felt like stepping into a magical, perfectly curated dream.

As a designer, I was especially drawn to how intentional everything felt. The pink isn’t just on the building, it carries through the furniture, landscaping and overall experience and gives the design of the hotel an unforgettable point of view.

Definitely one of those places I’ll be thinking about long after I get home and hope to visit in the future again.

One of our favorite transformations, turning an underused living room into a moody speakeasy-style lounge with a bar, custom walnut banquette, textured plaster walls and burnt orange mohair stools. Ready for cocktails, conversation and game day.
