I credit my Pop, my grandpa, and the good Lord for any skills that I may have. I can remember, my grandpa and dad creating, fixing, building, re-building, inventing, re-inventing things. I remember my dad building my mom furniture from wooden pallets that he had saved/collected from where he worked. I guess he was a pioneer in ‘pallet art’ and didn’t even know it! In 2017 I stumbled across a wood
en chair on Pinterest I thought would be fun to try and build. After collecting scrap wood from the neighbor's back yard (yes, I had their permission); I built my interpretation of that chair. It wasn't long after this that this hobby kind of exploded into what it is today. I truly love and appreciate the challenge and rewards that re-claimed wood provides. I have learned that re-claimed lumber is fickle material and I am humbled by it's stubbornness. There is a fair amount of work involved in cleaning and prepping the wood, before I can even begin a project. Thanks for taking the time in stopping by and taking a look at my page. Please stop by from time to time and see what’s going on. If anything catches your eye, please inquire, I am always looking for great forever homes for my projects! The next time you come across some scrap wood that someone’s throwing out, give them my number. Take care! Griz
