So honored to see The Carlyle Club featured in Modern Luxury.
What we love most about this article is how beautifully it captures the intention behind this project. From the beginning, we wanted to create something that felt deeply connected to Chicago—honoring the history and character of the Reid Murdoch Building while creating a destination that feels unique, authentic and somehow familiar.
Chicago itself became such an incredible source of inspiration. As one of the world’s great architectural cities, there is so much beauty in the details—the incredible marbles and natural materials found throughout the city, its historic buildings, and the craftsmanship that has endured for generations. We were especially inspired by the beautiful plaster moldings of the Field Museum and the idea of bringing that same sense of permanence, artistry and history into the space. Rather than compete with the character of the Reid Murdoch Building, we wanted to thoughtfully layer into it and create something that felt as though it had always belonged there.
It has been such an honor to bring The Carlyle Club to life alongside Steve Gogolab, a longtime client and truly incredible collaborator. There is something so special about working with someone who cares just as deeply about creating an experience as we do.
And we feel incredibly honored to have been just one part of such an incredible team of people who brought this vision to life. So many talented hands, minds and collaborators contributed to making The Carlyle Club what it is.
Thank you, Modern Luxury, for telling the story behind Carlyle Club so beautifully. We couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it.
