A home begins to tell its story the moment art enters the conversation.

Long before the final accessory is placed or the last detail is complete, art establishes the emotional language of a space. It introduces energy, invites curiosity, and gives a home its unmistakable point of view.

When I curate a collection for a client, I'm never asking, "What will look beautiful here?"

I'm asking, "What will this piece make you feel five years from now?"

The most extraordinary collections don't simply complement a room...they shape it. They become part of the architecture, influencing light, movement, and the way we experience every moment within the space.

Art has the remarkable ability to slow us down. To ask us to look closer. To feel more deeply.

And perhaps that's the greatest luxury of all.

Creating a home that moves you every single day.

I've always believed that how you enter your home matters.

Your front door isn't simply where your home begins… it's where your experience begins.

It's that quiet moment of arrival. The moment you leave the world behind, take a deep breath, and step into a space that feels like it was created just for you.

That's why I never think of an entry as just a door.

It's an invitation.

An invitation to slow down. To feel welcomed. To experience the beauty that unfolds beyond it.

When every detail is considered, from the architecture and lighting to the materials, landscape, and scale, your home begins telling its story before anyone ever steps inside.

Because great design isn't just about creating something beautiful.

It's about creating a feeling you'll come home to, every single day.

There was already so much beauty in this home... the clean European architecture, the incredible views, and these gorgeous limestone floors that flowed right out to the exterior.

It just needed warmth.

Rather than taking out something that was already beautiful, we layered in warm woods, texture, and this stunning graphic granite at the fireplace. And I love what happened.

The whole space softened. It became warmer, more soulful, and ultimately, much more reflective of the people who live here.

That’s the magic for me, creating a home that doesn’t just look beautiful, but reflects how you want to feel.

The best art doesn't ask to be understood. It asks you to feel.

I've always believed that collecting art is less about filling a wall and more about discovering a piece that stirs something within you.

Standing before this extraordinary blown glass sculpture, I was reminded that true artistry is born from patience, vision, and the courage to create something entirely original. Every curve, every color, every layer tells a story that words simply cannot.

It's the same philosophy I bring to every home we design.

The most meaningful interiors aren't built around trends. They're curated around emotion... spaces that inspire, restore, and reveal something new each time you experience them.

Because when art moves you, your home becomes more than beautiful.

It becomes deeply personal.

The best interiors always begin with inspiration.

One of my favorite moments from Scottsdale Art Week was spending time at the Lisa Sette Gallery, surrounded by artists who challenge the way we see the world. This extraordinary piece by Ala Ebtekar captivated me with its movement, depth, and celestial quality—it's the kind of work that invites you to pause and discover something new each time you look at it.

I've always believed that great art doesn't simply fill a wall. It shapes the emotional experience of a space. It sparks conversation, creates connection, and becomes part of the story a home tells.

Whether we're designing an entire residence or selecting the perfect piece to complete a room, art is never an afterthought. It's often where the soul of the design begins.

What piece of art has stopped you in your tracks lately?

Some of my favorite moments in a home aren't always the obvious ones.

They're the spaces we experience every day but rarely stop to appreciate.

A staircase isn't simply a way to get from one place to another. It's an opportunity to create beauty in movement... to transform something functional into something unforgettable.

I believe every element of a home should have purpose, not only in how it looks, but in how it supports the way you live and how it makes you feel. Because when design is intentional, even the spaces in between can elevate the human spirit.

That's where the magic lives, in the details.

What detail in your home makes you pause for just a moment?

Quite elevated to…

Choose the piece no one else has.

Mix the unexpected.

Invest in craftsmanship.

Ignore a trend when it doesn’t feel like you.

And create a home that feels incredible to live in.

Because luxury was never about having what everyone else has.

It’s about knowing what you love... and having the confidence to make it entirely your own.

Now that’s elevated, don’t you think?

There’s something about blue that makes you exhale.

Maybe it’s because we associate it with the sky and water, or maybe it’s simply the way it quiets a room. Blue has this wonderful ability to feel peaceful and grounding, while still being incredibly sophisticated.

And I love that it doesn’t have just one personality.

A deep, saturated blue can feel dramatic and enveloping. A softer blue can bring an almost ethereal quality to a space. Paired with warm woods, beautiful stone, metals and layers of texture, it becomes something entirely different again.

These are a few of the blue rooms we’ve designed over the years, and each one has its own energy.

For me, color is never just about what looks beautiful. It’s about how you want to feel when you walk into the room.

That’s really where the design begins.

Which blue room speaks to you?

Light has the power to completely transform the way you experience your home.

It's more than illumination… it's what creates warmth, enhances every detail, and sets the mood for how you live each day.

From the start, I tell my clients that lighting isn't an afterthought.

It's part of the foundation of great design.

When layered thoughtfully… with ambient, task, and accent lighting, a space comes alive. Every texture, every finish, and every carefully selected detail is elevated.

Because true luxury isn't just what you see.

It's what you experience.

When I'm designing, I'm always thinking about how to create joy for the families I serve. Sometimes that joy comes in unexpected places. Here, in a subterranean space, we created a built-in games table, a welcoming bar, and a beautifully sculptural staircase that transforms a lower level into a destination rather than an afterthought.

Every detail was designed to invite connection... gathering with family, friendly competition, laughter, and memories made together. Because the most meaningful luxury isn't just how a space looks, it's how it makes you live.

Life is about joy. And our homes should reflect that.
