Outside of We Grow, I’m a full-time art teacher at the exact same middle school I attended from 2000 to 2004. I loved Walton as a student, and I love working here now.

The main challenge I’m constantly working against is the opportunity gap we face here in southern Albemarle. Resources and funds don’t always stretch down this far, which means my brand-new photography class currently doesn’t have enough cameras for every student.

The goal is to get us fully stocked so every kid has access to a Rebel EOS T7. If you’re in a position to help, we would deeply appreciate your support in getting this program off the ground for our students!

There’s nothing quite like the magic of a supportive local community. 💐 While I’m busy at my full-time job today, getting a photo of a dear friend picking out fresh flowers at our shared space just made my whole week.
