In June 1974 Jack & Maureen Pesavento were looking for fireplace equipment for their home. Not being able to find the quality of fireplace furnishings they desired, they decided to start a fireplace business carrying high quality fireplace furnishings - that was the beginning of Chimney Charm. They started the business in a trailer at 1424 Pittston Avenue, and as the business began to grow, they r
emodeled an existing building on the property into a showroom. In 1981, with the encouragement of a manufacturer’s representative, Jack & Maureen hired Kevin Icker to manage their business. They confidently placed the business solely in his hands, and today he and his wife, Mary, both own the family business. Chimney Charm, Inc. continues to grow today with Kevin still maintaining that same quality standard of merchandise for his clients. Chimney Charm started out carrying glass enclosures and fireplace accessories, and still offers a wide selection of those items. However, it has also evolved into a full service fireplace showroom carrying gas and wood fireplaces, stoves and inserts, fireplace supplies and outdoor fire pits, heaters and grills. has been supplying Northeastern Pennsylvania residents, builders and contractors with the finest in fireplaces and fireplace equipment to this day.
