Eck McCanless Pottery My focus is on Agateware, made by turning multiple colors of clay on the wheel at the same time. It's fired with a clear glaze. What you see is the clay itself.

My focus is on Agateware, a type of pottery made by turning multiple colors of clay on the wheel at the same time. I carve the outside of the pots to reveal the layers of different colored clays. This creates a pattern similar to wood grain or fudge ripple ice cream. The nature of the process makes each pot unique. Agateware is food, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! This will be this year’s limited-edition color. This color will be available in all sizes and shapes, beginning July 18. Each piece will be signed and numbered. Now we just have to decide what to call it. Any suggestions?

Employee of the Month - Sweetie Petey. Aside from his obvious lap warming capabilities, Sweetie Petey is excellent in making sure each strip of clay carved from the pot reaches the highest of standards and finds its way into the scrap bucket. We appreciate his eye for detail, loyalty and friendly demeanor. Sweetie Petey never fails to put a smile on our faces, and make us feel all warm and fuzzy.
