A full-time educator and part-time DIYer, my house and garage were overflowing with "projects." My mom joined me in 2015 and added her creative genius to SheFlair. We now redesign furniture with home-made chalk paint, create hand-sewn pillows, design wreaths and floral décor, and travel to hunt for vintage treasures. We love all things French Farmhouse. We stock Aromatique potpourri, candles, room sprays, and wax melts. Shop our curated collection in The Bee’s Knees at 511 Alexis Drive, Searcy, AR.

Thinking about new cabinets? 🤍

Before you build them — design them well.

Every drawer, every door, every inch planned around the way you actually live. Good design makes the beautiful work hard, too.

What’s the one thing you’d change about your kitchen storage? Tell me below! 👇

SheFlair is now accepting cabinetry design projects — custom drawings and renderings, so you can see it before it’s built. Link in bio to explore design services. 🤍

There is a kind of home I think most of us long to create.

Not merely a beautiful one, but a place where people can exhale. A place where those we love feel safe, known, sheltered and at peace.

A place of rest.

In Ruth, Naomi prays that Ruth will find menuchah—rest, security, a settled place. And where does Ruth ultimately go? To the feet of her redeemer.

Centuries later, Mary chooses that same posture at the feet of Jesus.

Maybe that is where a peaceful home really begins. Not with everything finished, not with every problem solved, not with the perfect room, but with us learning to rest first at the feet of our Redeemer.

I wrote more about this in my newest SheFlair Journal post, “At the Feet of the Redeemer.” Read it now at TheSheFlair.com.

I had fun designing this one! 🤍

A full kitchen remodel, designed wall by wall — rift sawn white oak in a warm medium stain, a Clary Sage island, brass hardware throughout, and a stainless range tucked under a custom oak hood with a stunning scallop slab backsplash detail and wall sconces.

Sage green island — love it or leave it? Tell me below! 👇

Every home tells a story. Visit us online to learn more about how we can help you transform your space — link in bio. 🤍

What if one of the ministries of home is simply making room?

I’ve been studying the book of Ruth, and I keep coming back to how remarkable her story is.

Ruth came from Moab—a people with a long, troubled history and a reputation that would have made her an unlikely candidate to be welcomed into Israel at all. And yet, she left that life behind, chose the God of Israel, and was not merely accepted at the edges.

She was brought into the family.

She became the great-grandmother of David. Her name was ultimately written into the earthly genealogy of Jesus Christ.

That has made me think about our homes in a different way.

Hospitality is more than setting a pretty table or opening the front door. Sometimes it is making space for someone who may feel like an outsider—someone carrying a complicated past, unanswered questions, loneliness, or a story that looks very different from ours.

A Christ-centered home can be a place where people encounter truth, grace, dignity, and belonging.

I wrote more about this in a new Ministry of Home Journal post: Room for Ruth.

I hope you’ll read it—and maybe consider who in your life could use a place at the table.

Read it in The Journal at www.the SheFlair.com.
