Today is the first day of Crochet Academy! This is my sixth year participating in this wonderful, free crochet class by the amazing TL Yarn Crafts. Sure I have been crocheting for quite some time, but it's always good to have a refresh and also learn some new things. Plus, there are some really great projects for the crochet along. Hope you're participating too it's a lot of fun! 😊

I found this old sewing box at an estate sale a few months ago and couldn't pass it up. I plan to use it for crochet WIPs so I wanted to give it a simple lining to keep yarn from snagging on any rough areas. I grabbed some cardboard, a pillowcase, fluff stuffing, and the trusty glue gun. It's a cheap fix but it'll do! Plus, it can easily be removed if needed. 😁

Am I sad about not attending Flock Fiber Festival this year? Yes. 😭 But I did take the opportunity to finally check out my local yarn store, Weird Sisters Wool Emporium and found many beautiful things. These four skeins came home with me. How great are these colors?! When we were looking at homes in Aberdeen a yarn store was one of the first things I also looked for. I'm glad I finally made time to visit and meet Megan and Chelsea. 😁

I finished my vacation crochet project right before our last day and gave it to my mother-in-law. 😁 It's another from Two of Wands. We had a nice family trip to Florida and enjoyed some pretty sunsets and exciting coastal storms. Though it was nice to come home to fleece jacket weather. 😄
